Common sense? That's funny. FCS is, by all accounts, is tier II college football. You bury your head in the sand and refuse to admit it is as such. Over 30% of the NHL rosters are filled with college hockey players. FCS football doesn't even come close to that percentage in the NFL. Bohl is the reason that opinion piece was written. He's a Wyoming Cowboy now. He went FBS, but Wyoming isn't even a top FBS program, much less in a top conference in FBS. More proof that the university to the south isn't even close to being a top program in college football. Yup.. common sense dictates the truth. UND is a top college hockey school. FU isn't even close to being a top football school by any measure.

No. Let's do. Far more people attend and support high school basketball in the United States than the NBA. High school football than the NFL. That doesn't mean high school basketball and football are at a higher level. Insecurity about FCS is on you. Sorry you feel butthurt that FCS is tier II. It is. That's the way it is. I support UND in FCS. But, it's tier II football. The percentage of players in the NFL from FCS is much less than the percentage of hockey players from D-I hockey that are in the NHL. That's reality. UND is one of the big boys in college hockey. The University of Agriculture and Applied Science is not a big boy in college football. Fact. Not fiction. Drunk, fat and stupid is no way to go through life. Especially in Fargo.

Darrel, I disagree. Why? Because there are too many thieves from the University of Agriculture and Applied Science. We don't want Lakesbison's bail bondsman to make too much money...
-
And you back this statement up with exactly what empirical evidence? Attendance figures? Budgets? I could say that nobody outside of the United States gives a crap about American football, and I could back that statement up. Hell, even Canada has different rules with the same game. Outside of these two countries, nobody really plays it. Outside of the USA, nobody really cares or pays attention. You can't say that about hockey. Although, you could say that it's a northern hemisphere game only. Major League Lacrosse...does it exist? Are there huge whoppin' contracts for their players? Is it in with what is considered the four major professional sports leagues in the USA; the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL?
-
No. 100% wrong. http://collegehockeyinc.com/pages/growth-nhl-representation
-
I wonder if Kuper's contract alone matches or exceeds the former "student athletes" from the University of Agriculture and Applied Science?
-
Better yet, let's compare professional sports contracts. Who has more players at the top level of their sport? Toews, Oshie, Parise, etc... All making big dollar contracts. Who is a "big boy" in college hockey? Why, UND, that's who! When college hockey is mentioned, UND is a known player in that sport. FCS is fine. But, it's tier II football. Fargo is the drunkest town in the USA. It's also one of the fattest. Drunk, fat and stupid is no way to go through life. Ask Dean Wormer. Even the University of Wyoming, who definitely is not a "big boy" in college football, had more on the table to offer to Craig Bohl. That's a fact. He bailed on Fargo and went to Laramie. Because it was a better opportunity for more $$$. Because it's a higher level of competition than NDSU offers. But, folks out of Fargo don't see it that way. That's because they are drunk, fat and stupid. Well, they can always sober up and lose weight. But, that's as good as it's gonna get for them.

I have a solution. We fire our current staff of concessionaires at out sports venues. Then, we hire graduates of the University of Agriculture and Applied Sciences to replace them. Of course, at much lower wages. It's a win/win. We balance the budget. They finally get SOMETHING to put on their resumes. Don't thank us. The flagship university in the state of North Dakota is always happy to help.

I know a way to guarantee a game with the University of Agriculture and Applied Science every year for awhile. We go FBS. They'd schedule UND to try to try to get another cherry picked FBS win.
-
that was such a great movie. I'll bet he can dunk, though..
-
Nope. Go Broncos!
-
Women's too! Scary looking at those rosters...

Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has temporarily "re-named" Colorado's 14,000 foot mountains after each player on the Denver Bronco's Roster. http://www.denverpos...t-peaks-broncos Chris Kuper's mountain is Tabeguache Peak, SW of Denver in Chaffee County. Here's a pic of the temporarily named Mt. Kuper: The practice squad did not get mountains named after them. I don't know if this is fair. Paul Cornick, a former University of Agriculture and Applied Science player is on the Denver Broncos practice squad. So, in his honor, this pile of dirt is named, "Mt. Cornick" Congrats to Mr. Cornick also.

You beat me to it. I'm surprised that the Dickinson Midgets still exist.

It is news. It is ironic. But, all the information has been made public, as it should. We don't bury our heads in the sand like those 90 miles south. This young lady accepted a job and the honors that went with it at a UND institution, the Dakota Student. She blew it. These are the consequences. I don't find it funny, I find it very sad for the young lady and her family. But, they have put themselves in a public position and like I said before, these are the consequences.

Well, that settles it then. North Dakota is the Peace Garden State. Our mascot needs to be a hippie gardener. A fighting hippie gardener: Well, he *looks* kinda pissed. Does that work?
-
He was solid. Damn!
-
Bucking Squirrels. Yup. That's the new name.
-
yup.... still like it better than Magnuss... hope I am in a sea of green Saturday!
-
Naw, that's just proof that UND actually gave more than two sh*ts about the game!
-
If it's cold and miserable, Seattle. If the weather is decent. Denver. Who in the *(&(& decided to have a Super Bowl... in February...in an open stadium in New Jersey?
-
Well, it's all they have to cling to when they get up on Monday morning and go to work for their bosses, the UND grads.

That was an impressive win by the AC. But, you're right. K-State was replacing a multitude of players on offense, while the AC was rolling in their in-tact FCS championship team from the prior year. K-State would have won later in the year. Also, for those inthe sewing circle at the College of Home Economics at the University of Agriculture and Applied Science, while ESPN2 was showing the FCS championship on the soccer field, a "mediocre" FBS bowl game was being shown on ESPN. Now, which is more prestigious again?

Beats the Hell out of the old days with Jim Adelson, or Ed "Mad Dog" Schultz doing the games. They were pathetic.
