    2016 Season

Still gotta develop some play action stuff and get some big time production from our receiving corps less teams just load the box on us all day. Makes for a tough day slogging through the line for our talented RBs.
  2. Not much for relief pitching after the aces sit for the day.

    2016 Season

The wheels are in motion for the return of the Grady Train. I can see the steam comin' from round New Town way!
  4. This is where I'm leaning toward ... Undrafted free agent.

    2016 Season

Love this little note from the SFI guys: Word is Grady was on campus over spring break touching base with staff for the summer. A few logistics but it is still in play.
  6. A dose of relative perspective: Jaron Nash transferred from Lubbock, Texas to UND to be closer to his ailing father in Waterloo, Iowa; McBuckets reportedly wants to transfer from UND to be closer to home in Cedar Rapids -- only 50 minutes from Waterloo. What's close for one guy is too far from home for another? Go figure. Best wishes, Adam... hope you find your comfort zone somewhere out there!
  7. Stetson Carr stood out in a big way today. He's a beast, and he's on no one's radar in the BSC or all of FCS like Stanley and Georges are. We shall see. Sills and Santiago episode happens all the time. Just competitors being competitors. They're good. Alex Reed looks really good, too. Outside of WR: Despite the puking episode, Sills continues to play at a level above what he displayed in his first year with UND. Now that he's got the schemes down, his breaks to the ball and on the ball are much sharper and more confident. Just needs to continue on working hard to wrap up on tackles. D. Harris had multiple PBUs today and and one INT. Torrey Hunt is a stud. Finally saw today what coaches have been noticing from DE Bennett.... very violent through the line. Nice! Noticed Jawon, too, today. He was all over the field finishing plays.
  8. I'm told Wiill did not test in Fargo yesterday. Minnesota pro day has been his only test, to date.
  9. Gotta love it that all three goals are from local products! Strong development at home!
  10. I think Wentz was the only one. (sarc.)
  11. Never fear, the letter writer and her equally elitist-crust hubby have one foot in the Twin Cities already and will be gone from UND by semester's end. Nothing to see here, and Good riddance.
  12. Shanks is such a thug, ain't he?
  13. Someone mentioned it but that sure was hilarious when Avants managed to win the tip against their 7-6 big man. In fact, I think UND came away with both tips, but had to steal the ball to do it at the beginning of OT.
  14. I know I piped out a couple from my perch near the rafters.
  15. Ha Ha! He would have been right at home in the Betty, then.
  16. Pretty sure not Lakes, although, this guy's antics are akin to how I imagine Lakes is at any road AC contest.
  17. Anyone at the game see the one-man Anteater cheering section on the southend portable bleachers? He got escorted off the floor once by two security guards and was allowed to return, and then he was removed completely just before the end of regulation. Besides being overzealous and obnoxious, what did he do to get removed?
  18. Beat me to it. That kid is a threat from anywhere on the court. Good basketball IQ, with moves in the paint and the ability to pull up and hurt you that way, too. Color me impressed with young Avants.
  19. No disagreement with the history at all. And absolutely no disagreement with focusing on the present. UND can't worry about the past, either, though. I'm just saying the present is playing out way better than I thought it would be at the start of the year, even after the successful European run. And the future looks promising. Go Hawks!
  20. Even if they don't go dancing this year, this team already has exceeded my realistic expectations as to what I thought they would do this year, given its new players, youth and inexperience. Next year, with very few personnel losses and the additions of perimeter sharpshooter Wheeler, that 6-8 PF kid out of Washington State and the return of Cashman, my expectations will be nothing short of a date in the Big Sky Tournament finals and a good shot at our first tourney bid.
  21. Just checked... She's a former Griz player who went on to play professionally in Europe for a time.
  22. These announcers sure know a lot about Montana.
  23. Here's video of ISU's game clincher. https://twitter.com/ByKyleFranko/status/707685495321575424
  24. We won both games this season against both the Griz and ISU, though both of the ISU games were close, decided by only 3 points. However, the first ISU contest at the Betty was in January when we were not playing particularly well.
