Known by some. It happened late last spring. I PM'd a few a folks on here who seem to be in the know to get more credible info when I got wind of it. I should add that DH would have provided good depth with loads of potential but we will be just fine at linebacker.

Sure, so we could all shi!t on the design of some poor local art student instead of some corporate office (SME) a thousand miles away. It seems the only reason people like the local designs is because there's no way at this point they will be picked. -

Seems like poor DaveK is long on emotion and short on reason. -
Yes, indeed, there was.

Um, has nothing to do with recouping lost revenue and everything to do with the settlement with the NCAA. With as little as is put up for sale each time, you might be able to pay for the cost of production. -

Exactly. So can we quit bitching about logos now and start talking how were gonna win more championships? -
Lots of good information here. Just scan through the long commercials to get to the meat. Quick takeaway: Might be pleasantly surprised who they have at No. 1 in the Big Sky this year. Reasons to be suspicious of their analyses: Not enough love given to Santiago relative to other studs in the league. They tout UND as having the best secondary in the league this year. Hope they know things we don't. They list Meindel as our punter.

I will be buying the new apparel and wearing it proudly. That's just me. Everyone else do whatever the hell they want to or don't want to. Go UND! Go Hawks! -
Don't want to get ahead of ourselves, but I'm hoping to make Root Sports want to rethink its decision to go with Davis at Mont. State on Nov. 12 over NAU at UND. I'm sure these things are set in stone but it would be fun to make them contemplate a move.

I love the progression of this season's schedule. The players will have something to get them amped up almost every week: Stony Brook: First game of the year (come out swinging like we did against WYO last season) Typically, the biggest strides are made by teams between 1st and 2nd weeks (there are exceptions, such as last year against Drake) Bowling Green: FBS opponent -- UND and FCS pride on the line. USD: First home game of the year -- a chance to get the Alerus rocking on Potato Bowl against an old NCC and Great West foe. Montana State -- First league game of the year (on the road). Leave no doubt. Cal Poly -- Back at the Alerus Center, Poly will be looking for revenge but will find it hard to run the triple option against a stout run defense and the crowd noise. Sac State -- Let's keep the ball rolling on the road against a team on the mend. SUU -- Back home to take on another team in a bit of transition after a stellar 2015 ISU -- Pay back for us Weber -- Same as above UNC -- Got to guard against a let down against a young team with lots of talent at skill positions NAU -- For all the marbles, hopefully, at home against QB Case Cooksus.

Ha ha! I totally agree! Not to nitpick but I have been watching a lot of the UND FB archived games on Eversport this summer, and it was actually the second play from scrimmage. The first was a roll out pass to a slot receiver for minimal gain. Reyes totally blew up that first play. The next play was the perfect pass to Labat.

No clue but I would imagine he's leaning toward SU as he's a hometown kid. If a particular academic major that UND offers exclusively is a factor then all bets are off.

It was too busy and intricate to be a logo as far as best practices in the industry goes. A lot of modifications had to go into making it workable as a logo compared to the piece of art that originally inspired it. Don't get me wrong, I loved it, but as a logo it had too much happening as far as colors and minute detail that made it harder to replicate on merchandise. What made it great was that it was an honorable extension of something we were familiar with and the pride and tradition that was inherit within it due to past exploits on the playing field. -

Neither was Brien's FS logo .... But it evolved in our minds as a great one -- dare I say a legendary one. -

My contention, though, is that what makes a logo matter is what comes in the years and decades after it's released and not so much the "look" of the image. It's the "added value" of championships, shared heart-aches and favorite players who wore the logo and fought for us proudly on the playing field that makes these images something to be proud of. -

Much truth here. Time and tradition are amazing antidotes for unpopular change. -

I would think Cashman's career is done at UND. Too bad. Hope he gets the help he needs.
