  1. So what’s your concern, then? Seems relatively harmless.
  2. Yes he did.
  3. Did we really? According to many on here, UND is going to hell in a hand basket on greased skids.
  4. True. Folks are going to believe what they want to believe. And the paper of record has done a pi$$ poor job getting these things right. But, you know, sensational sells.
  5. I love it when Jeff Dodson tweets about former UND baseballers and what they’re up to. But the update tweets on WIH always seem to be dripping with ulterior motive.
  6. Because he works their a$$ off and holds them accountable. Novel concept in the public sector.
  7. He’d bolt for $1.3M and the Sunshine State in a heartbeat, too, given the chance.
  8. I think you all are making the point just fine, but to put it another way: those former UND players that BS tracks should thank their lucky stars they cut WIH at UND, because it allowed them to transfer into either one of the traditional Big 2 in the WCHA the real reasons UND never could make it) or to a team in a weaker conference where they actually have a chance to play in the tourney. Bottom line: UND's inability to be a top 2 team in the WCHA kept these players out of the tourney. And coaching, it sounds like.
  9. Looked better at the line, too.
  10. Moser, are you that crank on KNOX Radio who calls in under the pseudonym ”UND in 3 years guy”?? Your rants on here are awfully similar to his on the radio. Dude, UND is a big organization with lots of moving parts. Things are not the same as they were in 2008. Some things are worse off, others are far better off, and still others don’t exist at all anymore, for better or for worse. Such is the evolution of a big public organization that thrives or struggles depending on the prices of oil and wheat, and that has a transient population that moves on every 4-6 years. It’s been changing since 1883. Ever hear the old saying “you can’t go home again”? Dynamic organizations like colleges and cities are not static. They change — constantly. So please spare us the threads from 2008, and in the immortal words of Aaron Rodgers: “R-E-L-A-X.” Just because the grass always looks greener on the other side doesn’t mean it necessarily is.
  11. Damn! With her, we might have had a chance at 2nd place in the WCHA now and again instead of alternating between third and fourth every year, depending on what kind of a season UMD was having.
  12. First Olympics in the Golden Age of web streaming and cord cutting —is a real killer.
  13. Frickin’ Rudolph!!!!! Oops! Wrong thread.
  14. Sure, I guess. It’s a product of capitalism ....work your butt off and prove yourself, when opportunity arises, seize it.
  15. Well most people then. If I got an opportunity like that..I’d certainly take it even if that meant leaving a job on Day 1.
  16. Heard Kennedy was brought in just to get rid of WH and Faison. Mission accomplished. Sayonara!
  17. Great ... it's Darell vs. the sports bros again. This stuff never gets old.
  18. UND may have gotten a big for the future in 6-10, 245# Lucas Schmidt out of central coastal California. Signed is LOI this week. Sounds like he has local ties. At this point, maybe a bit of a project at D-1fresh out of high school, a hair better than that 7-footer NDSU got out of Dickinson last year. But with the physical tools in place, hard to pass on this guy. https://register-pajaronian.com/article/boys-basketball-mvcs-schmidt-signs-with-division-1-north-dakota
  19. Cheerleaders on the loose again down south. http://www.inforum.com/news/accidents/4400890-cow-breaks-loose-livestock-show-heart-ndsus-campus
  20. Great discussion. I see a lot of big European and Australian 4/5 players around the Big Sky and other mid to high majors ( remember Arizona from our Big Dance appearance). Can we expand our recruiting footprint beyond Iowa ( kind of joking, too) and look for interest across the pond and/or Down Under? I know it's more expensive, but we used to do it all the time on a no-draw sport like WH.. and other programs seem to think it works OK. Thoughts?
