  1. Didn't work for me. Guess I should have set them even lower.
  2. Probably a good thing, because then we couldn't do the Sheppard, Sheppard, Sheppard sucks cheer referring to Brad Sheppard.
  3. Guess Motzko likes being on the other side of things.
  4. I know Rieger had that error against St. Cloud, but I certainly very much like his game as well.
  5. I see all six of those guys as being good enough to get power play time. It is going to be hard for the coaches to decide who gets pp time on any given night. To keep them rested for the penalty kill, maybe they don't put Poolman or Shaw on the pp. I suppose it all depends on how fast the young guys can make an impact. Like I said, expectations can sometimes be a liability.
  6. Yeah, they both put up big numbers, but it seems I see two way defenseman when referring to JBD and get up and go about Tychonick. https://www.grandforksherald.com/node/4420417 https://www.thedraftanalyst.com/international-tournaments/recap-2018-cjhl-top-prospects-game/
  7. Don't know if they are right or left handed, but I would guess since Tychonick is more offensive minded than JBD, they might put him with Poolman. This would allow Bast to play with someone who is more defensive minded, by all accounts. Of course just about all of our defensemen have an offensive component to their game, which is pretty much needed to add offense in college hockey today. I have also seen guys like Corey Fienhage and Keaton Thompson that come in highly rated that didn't always play a lot, when draft status would suggest they would. Expectations can cause fans to go crazy, much like they did on Keaton Thompson.
  8. Who does?
  9. Yeah, 10 points clear of the next guy in playoff scoring, and that guy played in 4 more games. Hopefully it translates to NCAA hockey, and it wouldn’t hurt to be sooner rather than later.
  10. Goon, you might want to change your Avatar with that little display of affection Marchand had last night!
  11. Mafia in three, two ...
  12. But Minnesota has already said they are not part of any Gentleman's Agreement, so why are they one of the worst offenders in recruiting guys before their voice changes? If everyone ditched the Gentleman's Agreement, it still would not change the early recruitment because once you get your foot in the door you are already ahead of the game.
  13. If I had a dollar for every time I heard "should sweep" this past season, I could buy a bunch of those Vegas tickets on Craigslist.
  14. The number of complete whiffs begs to differ.
  15. I see what you did there. You are apart of the gobc not a part of the gobc. So in other words you know squat.
  16. Not as good as others because they have all those crappy players from Grand Forks.
  17. So you say Grand Forks hockey rules in a small window of the state. Well then, UND hockey rules this year too!
  18. Wait a minute, I thought Grand Forks hockey rules! You have quite the dilemma with a guy from Grafton winning the Natty with Duluth and their guys making the development team ahead of a Grand Forks Guy!
  19. Apparently not since 2 also accepted.
  20. In their last 7 games Duluth only scored 3 goals once, and that was in overtime. Sure, we need to improve our production offensively, but our bigger problem the second half of the year was not playing as well defensively as we did the first half.
  21. They'll get stronger because schools like that become adept at doing one thing great -- Cheat! Seriously, that is why I really don't care for teams like Cal and other schools starting up college hockey programs. Don't want it to become like football and basketball where if you aint cheating you aint trying. College hockey isn't perfect, but they are saints compared to those other sports.
  22. Sure is impressive. Can't wait to see what kind of impact he makes next year.
  23. They just had a big story of complaints on KVLY the other week in Fargo.
  24. Duluth was led in scoring by a freshman defenseman. Not so sure their numbers were that much more extraordinary, but they won which allows one to look past any shortcomings. Who knows how things pan out for us with only one more regular season win. Jones missing games that from all accounts shouldn’t have happened, could easily have changed the outcome of the pairwise. One thing is for sure, a better locker room is necessary to have a better team. Hopefully that will be the case next year.
  25. I feel bad for the girl you were seeing. I assume she came to her senses!
