    2018 Season

There is no rule for sports other than football where you can play so many games without losing your redshirt status?
  2. If I worked at a till, I would. For you to disparage hard working people that have those jobs says a lot about you. Work on that bitterness!
  3. I'm not so sure mainstream sports or otherwise should be an area of focus in his life right now anyway.
  4. On replay?
  5. Yes, if anything Duluth got extra time because if they would have scored, the officials would have probably counted it and figured out the clock later. When they saw the clock not going, they needed to fix it.
  6. Yes, i’m sure it was on purpose.
  7. Duluth actually got the whole power play the second time around anyway.
  8. That’s because they are giving $1000 to five people at the end of the season for perfect attendance from a drawing.
  9. My bigger concern is Gardner’s quote to Schlossman that they let up. While it doesn’t count yet, their new mantra of “zero”, starting from scratch every period to add to the legacy of UND hockey, needs to be more than lip service if they are going to change those ties into wins this year. If their adherence to that motto is that short lived, I hope they don’t have to keep learning that lesson that every point counts, and that even losing that 3-0 lead to Miami is what cost them the NCAA tournament. Here’s to hoping that “zero” truly starts against Bemidji State. Gardner also needs to realize as a leader it starts with him, as in “zero” penalties, unless you are stopping a scoring chance. This team can’t afford to take needless penalties.
  10. Probably a good thing they didn’t win 7-1, as many that are judging the game by the score would be talking National Championship already.
  11. I agree that we should be proud at winning a title no matter the level, but if we stayed in Division 2 and were winning titles every year, I would guess the people down south would be saying how cute it is that we won at that level.
  12. He would probably have you believe he goes to games out of a sense of duty to UND, but ultimately if he gives up his seat, there are plenty of people that would be willing to buy it. But certainly the way he "tolerates" hockey is coincidental to how people tolerate the attitude.
  13. Forgot about them. Also, I wouldn't think Costello would be here in 2019.
  14. https://www.collegehockeynews.com/reports/roster/North-Dakota/40 Assuming Keegan Karki as a 2019 recruit is based on old information. Everything else seems up to date, other than Mitch Miller being a defensive recruit.
  15. If they kept the old buns they would have been just fine. Oh, wait... Nevermind!
  16. Any indication if Cam York is still planning on going the college route after decomitting from BC, or is he going to be drafted high enough that he may go Major Junior rather than possibly be in college short term?
  17. So, if the media day clips are an indication and if the Jones, Kawaguchi , Mismash line stays together, Hain either is on the line with Gardner and Adams, or on a line with Bowen, and either Yon/Senden/Keane/Casey Johnson.
  18. On the little media day clip it looked like Weatherby was with Cole Smith and Ludvig Hoff on a line. Will be interesting to see what the lines are for the exhibition game. Would like to see Jones stay with Mismash and Kawaguchi, as they looked pretty good at the end of last year.
  19. Don’t know, the football team disrespected the University by not putting it on their helmet.
  20. https://bchl.ca/stats/player/4891/36/harrison-blaisdell Guess Blaisdell has taken that step forward. Already half way to his point total of last year and 2/3 of the way to his goal total. He was no where close to the other big time '01 recruit Alex Newhook (BC) last year, but certainly has hit his stride so far this year! Too bad Rizzo hasn't been able to play more than a game.
  21. Who is this Austin Polanski, is he related to Roman?
  22. After the top six forwards, the numbers of Duluth don’t stand out above and beyond, but I think they had better production and consistency from their top six. A lot of teams struggle to score consistently, but that is why having a defensive corps that can help out a lot is huge. Like Schlossman’s blog said, special teams are the difference, and we have to be better killing penalties and scoring on the power play. Timely scoring is going to be the difference between all the ties, and taking a step forward this year.
  23. No, I was thinking Boeser got sent to the farm team because it didn’t make sense that they wouldn’t have a young guy playing somewhere. The point is still relevant though, as he sure took advantage once he cracked the lineup.
  24. It's all about making your presence known when you get called up. Boeser didn't start the season with Vancouver, but once he got there it was a no brainer that he would stay.
