Shane Pinto with 4 assists in a 6-2 Lincoln win tonight.

Per Schlossman, Minnesota is talking to former player Chris McAlpine as a possible Assistant coach replacement for Scott Bell. Well, at least this time they can pay him above board instead of leaving money for him in a pre disclosed location.

It would be like going back to a girl who dumped you for someone else, then when she gets dumped, all of a sudden you are back in the picture. No thanks!

Brad's twitter shows a proposal that RPI would be tweaked to give a team that gets to overtime partial credit for a loss. It would be a 90/10 split for winner and loser. I personally don't like because if you lose you lose, but it looks to be going toward the NHL path of getting credit for getting to overtime. Sadly, just like the delayed offside rule, UND once again is one year too late to take advantage of a rule like that, as with all the ties we had last year, we surely would have made the NCAA tournament.
-
Do you mean the CC vs. UND series?
-
Trying to do too much would be my fear for Ketteringham as well, especially against good competition and in close games. If our defense plays the way we hope, that might be a problem, if they don’t he may need to fit it into tight windows.

Gotta tell ya, NDSU isn’t exactly a cure for arrogance.

I agree, they looked better in the second half, but it is hard to know how they would fare against a team that doesn’t continually beat themselves after they get in scoring position. How many motion penalties did #78 have, five or six? Lot of our guys hadn’t played in game conditions in a year, so hopefully they have steady improvement. Since they didn’t know what to expect from MVS, I think they played less aggressive in the first half. They were playing off the receivers quite a bit early, then got more aggressive after half.

Well at least he gave us a preemptive warning, as if he needed to do that for us to know that he would be ripping on people for taking away positives. I am sure the coaches are hinged on every one of his ultimatums.

That can work both ways. If you get a lot of ice time, you have more chance to score if you are talented. Also, guys like Jackson Keane might not see as much ice time because there is so much talent on Penticton. Is Rizzo's draft year next year as well? Blaisdell must have a lot of talent if he is mentioned and Rizzo isn't, if that is the case.

If Blaisdell is drafted high that most certainly would be a no brainer bringing him in, but that will probably be contingent on taking a step forward in production now that he is a little older. It will be interesting to see how many points he puts up this year compared to Rizzo.
-
Stratton will be here but won't be eligible, and I would guess Caulfield and Blaisdell may wait another year. Would guess it is more certain that Costello will wait another year.

This said he was injured in the playoffs. http://www.inforum.com/sports/hockey/4475776-former-moorhead-standout-randklev-has-lived-ups-and-downs-hockey-last-year

There are a lot of things you classify as unacceptable, but apparently the hockey world finds it acceptable, so you're going to have to deal with it. I hope I don't look back and see you commenting on Christian Wolanin's slap shot shootout winner.

Thought you weren't suggesting it. Sure sounds like it to me. Gotta love that designated hitter gimmick though!
-
Come on here and tell me I told you so when it does.
-
Because like the NHL, you can't play until the cows come home in every game in the regular season or you won't have any players left for the playoffs. It may be a gimmick but most of us don't mind because the equivalent of kissing your sister, a tie, isn't that appealing to the majority.

Yeah, and here I thought all the problems of the football program were due to the evil hockey program.
-
I think that is correct.

tnt replied to SiouxVolley's topic in Non-collegiate sports
Yes, this is Sioux sports, but it is a non collegiate sport, and the thread name should allow you to not partake if you don't want to. I'm not big into soccer, but some people are so I just don't open that thread. -
I would also add that baseball isn’t a good example because they use different rules between the leagues with a designated hitter, and that isn’t to determine an outcome. It also puts one team in the World Series at a disadvantage because they don’t normally deal with it.

...and that's what he is saying, that ever since he got scolded for that, he is very careful not to say anything critical.
-
We finally agree on something. He tries way too hard to come up with Dick Vitale like phrases or sayings and goes way overboard on the fake enthusiasm. Can't listen to Hennessey in the morning much anymore because of Ralston's constant diatribes. I certainly miss Swyg.

Might just be Instacart for Hornbachers. You would think there would have been some rumblings if Costco was coming soon.
