  1. Been a Patriots fan since 1985, so I'll continue to root for them! I expect another close game again, with Tom Terrific reminding everyone why he is indeed the GOAT.
  2. So it Red Pepper East pretty similar to the real Red Pepper then?
  3. Can someone explain to me what the deal is with the Red Pepper East in EGF? It is my understanding that it isn't actually part of the Red Peppers that are in Grand Forks. Did they just "borrow" the name to capitalize on the popularity of the Red Pepper seeing as how they are in a different state? Never been there, just curious.....
  4. I just posted 5 lower bowl seats for the SATURDAY game against Denver on Ticketmaster. Two of them are in section 103 row P, and three of them are in section 102 row F. The end that UND shoots at twice. Face value.
  5. Faison was a way better AD than the TWO guys that preceded him. Not even debatable.
  6. PlutoTV reminds me alot of DataFlix. Anyone else remember that crap?
  7. I would be surprised if he didn't apply. Frankly, I'm surprised he's not a finalist. He would have been a solid candidate IMO.
  8. Why do we have a SWA? Seems sexist. Who is the SMA? I jest.....................
  9. Anyone recall who the finalists were the last time around when Faison was hired?
  10. Phase 2 of HPC would be done by now without his smug anti-social attitude then?
  11. Budgets and salaries went up under his watch for football and basketball. He got the High Performance Center done as well as many upgrades to the Alerus and the Betty. The stature of volleyball has gone through the roof since he's been here. He hung onto Mussman and Jones for too long. Hardee ended badly but be turned the VB program around. Prior and Bubba we're good hires. He was the architect behind the NCHC and got us into the Big Sky. He wasn't all bad IMO,...........
  12. No. I think Kennedy wants a new guy. And part of that is that is because Faison and Douple would have a horrible working relationship. Kennedy said early on that it is important to him for UND to have "natural rivals", which means he wants to associate with NDSU as much as possible athletically. I think Faison had a bigger vision for UND sports. But most folks around here would rather topple NDSU in anything rather than blaze a new path...................
  13. Just a general note regarding the regime change at the top of UND athletics......... I've always been a fan of Brian Faison's leadership. Does anyone else think it may be more than a coincidence that he his stepping down just before we enter membership into the Summit League? I loved the press conference he held a few years back where he basically called Summit Commissioner Tom Douple a lying P.O.S. when Douple alleged that the UND administration asked behind closed doors for the Summit League to use the nickname issue as a scapegoat for not offering membership at the time. That was classic IMO. Douple was trying to save face for us not joining his league, and Faison was basically giving him the middle finger. But now we get to play NDSU more often, so all is forgiven...................................
  14. I don't know. People bag on Faison for being aloof an not very personable to potential donors. Personally, I don't feel that Mannassau has a stellar personality either. Just my two cents. For me, it doesn't matter who is the AD, it won't affect my level of donations. I support the University, not the guy or gal that is cashing the checks. They will come and go. The University will always be here, and so will I................
  15. Mannassau's asset is that he is home grown. He loves the University and has put down roots here. I like that he has the football background as a former player and coach here, so I would think he would be more apt to put an emphasis on football, basketball, and all other sports. I fear that Porter and the "Job-Jumper" are just looking at the hockey program as a potential stepping stone to bigger and better things. For those that have their sights set on a huge fund raiser, I'm not sure that Mannassau is the guy, personally.
  16. Seems like an underwhelming pool of candidates at first glance to me.......
  17. Am I supposed to know who Kristen Campbell and Kennedy Blair are?
  18. Been guaranteed same seats every year since it started. I don't know if that will change with the move to the Xcel Center, but I would assume not.
  19. I have the same seats every year for the NCHC Frozen Faceoff. And I'm happy that I do.......
  20. I thought the officiating was horrible on both ends of the court. They were clearly a Big Sky crew.............
  21. NDSU had 2 sophomores and 1 redshirt freshman in the starting lineup. Nobody on their most recent two-deep was playing high school ball last season.............
  22. Second game I've been to this year along with the Utah Valley game. Seems to me that this year's team is the same as every other version of the past 12 teams, which is a bunch of street ballers. The M.O. seems to be the same as it always is: stick 4 or 5 of the best athletes on the team on the floor at the same time, let them run & gun, and hope for the best. Problem is that this season we don't have a player like Hooker that come overcome the discombobulation that surrounded him on the floor. It was very easy to see which team had the more talented players overall last night, it wasn't even close. The difference was that NDSU seems to have an identity and a goal with what they want to accomplish at each end of the court.
  23. I always find it somewhat comical that this topic seems to come up once year when there is a "big game" forthcoming. Fans that are knowledgeable about basketball seem to appreciated the Sioux Center. "Casual" fans that have grown accustomed to the REA, and only pay attention to basketball for one or two games year, want to know why the basketball teams play in such a dump. My guess is that a lot of these "casual" fans haven't been to a game in the Sioux Center when it has 3,000+ on hand, otherwise they wouldn't complain.
  24. I find the Sioux Center highly preferable to the REA for watching basketball. One was built for basketball, while the other was built for hockey. Bigger isn't always better. Although, I'd like to see permanent seating put in the North end of the Betty, and larger portable bleachers put in the south end. You'd only lose one practice court this way and it wouldn't disturb the overhead doors on the south end. It could also be possible to put a limited number of suites on the North end if there was permanent seating there. I've always also thought it could work to have 4 suite/lounge areas in the four corners above the current restrooms.......
