    Actually it wasn't. I had the new logo on the header this morning, then this afternoon it had the interlocking ND, I hit refresh the ND was still there. I went out and back in and the ND was there. A little while later the new logo was back.

    Yesterday the new logo was on the header at UNDSports.com This afternoon the interlocking ND is there. Was there a change of heart about ditching the interlocking ND? EDIT: Never mind. The new logo is back again.

    Can someone with some skill trim the letters in black on the logo and make the "D" look like the "D" shown in the script below. It just doesn't look finished to me.

    I posted on another board this morning to get unbiased opinion on the logo. One of the comments so far... "It makes me think they'll be acquired by Wells Fargo or Bank of America in a few years."

    I shared the new logo with my family and it won approval, 5-2, so perhaps it is more us old die-hards that are having the heartburn.

    For those of us keeping score at home.... We had a fantastic name and logo taken away from us. I pragmatically accepted that. We had numerous committees come up with the process for the new name. The process included criteria that the new name had to follow. Of the numerous submissions, a name that did not meet the critria was put into the final mix of names, while the popular "just use North Dakota" was removed from the vote. A hawk logo made its way around social media. I witnessed first hand people who thought that the hawk logo was going to be used in conjuction with the Fighting Hawks name. We end up with a bland PC name that doesn't meet selection committee criteria. An equally bland logo for the new name comes out and now not only do we lose the Sioux name and logo, we lose the recently revised interlocking ND logo that all of the teams had incorporated. The interlocking ND logo has been on the helmets since the 1960's. Does that pretty much sum things up?

    It looks like a cross between the Burlington Northern and North Stars logos. I was hoping for better. This is going to take time to grow on me.

    For the record, I didn't "make" you take a challenge. I challenged you to not mention or reference NDSU for a week, but you weren't up to the challenge. Fine. Move on.

    I visit the college sports forum on this site, but haven't really gotten to the politics forum. http://csnbbs.com/forum-540.html I used to be more of a political nut, watching all of the political theater. I don't seem to have the time any or the interest anymore. I used to love watching the Sunday morning shows, but it got to be where the guests had their "talking points" and would segue each question to their talking points, whether relevant or not. The hosts let them get away with it and lost me as a viewer.

    C'mon, you can't take a week off from your NDSU measuring stick? Yes, NDSU will be brought up on this board occasionally, but daily?? Even the two posts of mine that you referenced are over a week old.
