College hockey: Former Saints goalie Špunar backstops North Dakota to Frozen Four

I, too, was at UND during that time frame. Kermit's luck guides our puck. The battles against Wisconsin were epic.

Thank you!

West Florida athletics reportedly headed to Division I, new conferences I can't paste the article, as I lost my two free views on the PNJ site.

Florida does have more than it's share of millionaires, but also has a number of large established universities. So the money gets spread out a bit. UWF has only been around since 1963 and has really only grown a lot in the last 20-25 years. UWF was NAIA until 1994 and have only had football since 2016. They won the D2 football national championship in 2019.
-
I saw this over on CSNBBS... Interesting that UND won a championship every decade except the 70s. It is time for win in this decade.

Fairly successful.

I went for the Minnesota State upset in my predictions. Blew that one.

The University of West Florida is making a major announcement next week regarding the athletic department. Rumor is that it a change of classification to Division I. If true, I will have FCS football in my backyard. They are currently building a new football stadium to seat 7500. I have pointed out on another forum that UWF has a high school gym for basketball. Definite upgrade required. UWF has a really beautiful campus.

Duluth did not win the regular season or the conference tournament. They should not be rewarded by moving up a slot due to geography.
-
Maybe this is the meeting where they are asked how it is possible to have the same enrollment number three years in a row.
-
It appears UND is up around 1.38% from Spring 2025. 2026....15,155 2025... 14,591
-
I don't have Sharepoint access to see the figures.
-
I cannot find UND's 2026 Spring enrollment figures, but NDSU is down 1.4% from Spring 2025.

College Football Program Sues to Force Conference Realignment Wave of the future?

That is the path that must be followed. In the end Daktronics may end up with the contract. But will their price still be the same? As a contractor, my price/proposal is usually a bit higher when I know that I am the lone bid on a project and tend to sharpen my pencil a bit when I am in competition. Since Daktronics price is already out there, their competitor(s) know where to shoot for. Daktronics knows this and may have to sharpen their pencil a bit The City messed this process up, not LucentHD.
-
That is exactly what that sounds like. As a contractor, I can understand why someone would protest, if the bid process was not public, as it is supposed to be.
-
I saw this on the CSNBBS board.... With college sports in chaos, 2 key meetings this week could chart a path forward: 'Something's going to have to give' Interesting to say the least. Really smacks of anti-trust laws.

Yes, they have a contract with ESPN, but you are already talking how they may alter it for 24 teams. What other alterations could they make? Lockout the G5’s completely? The Big Boys are calling the shots and can do what they want, because they have the money to do it.
-
Not buying that timeline. Things seem to be happening fast and somewhat unpredictable. Who would have predicted 5-6 years ago that four members of the Pac10 would be in the Big 10? Money is making things move rapidly. The Big 10 and SEC are running things, not the NCAA and they can make their own rules.

Going back to those who were disparaging SiouxVolley aka Star2City. He had a vision of using the dying WAC and reconfiguring it with FCS schools to make a nice western FBS conference. Isn't that pretty much what is happening to the WAC, being rebranded as the UAC? Just moved it East.
