    This suggestion is not the Alerus Center's to fix, but does anyone know why the football team doesn't sing the school song to the student section after each game? I've always enjoyed that aspect of the game and have seen visiting teams do it in the Alerus. Montana comes to mind. It's great for them to give "high fives" after the game...to those in the front row. I think it would be more powerful to do the school song...can still give high fives afterwards. EDIT: I know there are former players on this board, so if you have any insight on this, feel free to respond. I did send an email to Bubba as well.

    This. My cousin is married to one of their strength coaches. It's amazing what they do and how they monitor their players for game day. They run their program like an FBS program.

    UND is not a good football team right now. Their defense is better than average and that's about it. Hopefully we can figure things out, but way too many mistakes, undisciplined plays to call us a good team.

    Congrats to NDSU...they have built an amazing program. Crazy to think what they could do with the extra scholarships. Iowa had something like 43 yards rushing compared to 200+ for the bison.

    So you are saying it doesn't snow in Brookings during football season? I know this topic (benefits/cons to outdoor stadium) have been discussed at length on here before. I don't want to start that debate again. So whether or not outdoor football in GF is feasible, I still like what SDSU is creating with their football facilities. Hopefully UND will have a new facility (indoor or outdoor) on campus next to the IPF some day...

    Nice to get a victory over an ACC school but not sure how good Clemson is. They were 6-26 on the season last year.

    And they've kicked off the College Football season last year and this year with their first games being played on ESPN. If ESPN is ignoring NDSU on a consistent basis, what are they doing to UND/UND Hockey?? Hockey is pretty much maxed out for exposure/revenue. Time to invest in Football, BBall programs, and volleyball. Plenty of room to grow revenues in those sports...particularily BBall.

    Just another reason we need to invest in the basketball programs more. Just as many home dates as hockey and the potential to bring in big money with NCAA tournament appearances and wins in the tournament...

    Not sure why my quote feature is so messed up. Anyway, agree with what Bin says regarding sports and what the Big Sky offers. As for Women's Hockey, has UND ever had a club team? I'm assuming Title IX only applies to varsity level sports but maybe the women's hockey supporters would be ok if it was still offered as a club level sport and as others have said, fully fund the other women's sports to address title IX

    Fifteen days until game day! I am attending the game in Stoney Brook and pretty excited to see how the team looks. Does anyone know if there is a UND section or will fans be dispersed randomly rhroughout the stadium? I don't imagine there will be a lot of UND fans, but I'm sure there will be some.

    I was looking at USCHO earlier today and someone started a thread about SDSU (San Diego State) may be looking to start DI hockey. He had no sources or links, just something he had heard. So add the Aztecs to a long list of schools "rumored" to be looking at going DI in hockey.

    So many issues with drivers in GF. One pet peeve I have is people turning onto two lane roads. So many people cross lanes, so If I'm turning right, and driver is coming towards from the opposite direction and turning left, 9/10 they do a "wide turn" and go strait for my lane. Do they not teach how to stay in your lanes in Drivers Ed anymore? As for the speeds on Gateway to the airport, they need to up the speed limit. People, including myself, drive as fas or faster on DeMers between Washington and 42nd street. Never see police patrolling for speeders on that stretch.
