Unless you are AD Faison, you are not the only one who knew that Jones' job was 100% safe. I would hope the next coach would be better than Jones. Open up the pocket book and upgrade the caliber of coach/assistants that will apply...get a young coach looking for a chance to move up. Invest in Bball as it has the most potential on ROI.

This is a list of coaches whose team was ranked in the top 25 in FCS this year, not the top 25 salaries. I would guess that Bubba's salary is in the bottom half (total of 125 teams) of FCS since the average for all of FCS is $260k+.

I believe they match up the teams first and then open the bids. So to answer your question, I believe you are giving the committee to much credit. They will pair teams up based on regionalization, unless they change from previous years. I know they are giving lip service to not do regionalization, but until they actually follow through on it, you have to suspect it will remain the same.

It's all about bids/money after the seeded teams. If we bid enough, we will get a home game...
