    I would agree with dropping the Fighting, I still say the reason the Hawk won is because the word Fighting was in front of it. I've come to accept the Hawk, but not Fighting so much. Heck the Bison were even Fighting Aggies at one time, I posted about that around a year ago. When I was in school in the early 70's, I don't remember the word Fighting used. It was only SIOUX. When we have reunions, I always ask friends and not one remembers using the wording Fighting back then.

    New indoor stadium? May be after my lifetime, but the new Hawks' Nest could be on a couple greens at Ray Richards.

    They sure did, shows Mottzko is a good negotiator. Also good recruiter. Apparently talks a game. Although, will not serve the Goofs all that great. The Clown will take their $ and run as soon as the NCAA playoffs start.

    Next ?s When does the Mascot Z uniform get ordered? Show up on campus? Will there be multiple shirts/sweaters. Will Sioux Shop sell head dresses and t-shirts? Will a student be used to dress up as the mascot, will they have backup students? or hire a person? What games will Mascot Z be present at?

    And the drama continues. We went how many years without a logo name, and then how long without a logo? Now we have the Mascot without a name till sometime next semester. The process will start all over again, but this time just for the name, imagine that! Why not call him Mascot Z (being the Z won) till a permanent name is chosen.

    Does it really matter??? on and on and on. Fighting Hawks with logo is here for the near future. The Mascot is here for the near future, the Z version won the vote. What will the name of the Mascot be?

    Our conference HC buddies: Sounds like Jim Montgomery the Pioneerd is gone. Motzko the Clown just left. Blaise Once-the-Great has been gone from Omaha for 1 season. Hak the Siouxperman has been gone for 3 seasons. Scott Owens for CC has been gone for 4 seasons. Andy Murray a professional head coach (10 yr - Kings & Blues) just completed his 7th season at W. Mich. Blasi in a 10 yr Miami contract and head coach since 1999 survives, but the assistants were just fired + numerous players given the booth. How about another jump to the pros, Sandelin the Bulldog?
