Today the SBoHE to consider presendent Kennedy contract extension.

Someone mentioned on here that the new Med School cost more than The Ralph but maybe not when you consider the value of $ over time since 2001 when it opened. Well it's pretty close, The Ralph with The Betty and the many added improvements have just as many $ put in as the Med School, without adjusting for the value of money over time.

Neither does the Alerus. UND Athletic Department & The Ralph Again, thx for coming way over here and helping out.

Now I am just as much a UND FB fan as hockey fan and MBB & WBB are just a little behind. MH - If we are to keep up with the Hatfields, McCoys, MN's, Wisco's, Bostons'; the state legislature inadvertantly gave us the tools to do it. The Ralph could of been owned by the U with a receptive legislature, instead of the lease we are in, but then would President Kennedy be raping The Ralph $. Good ? FB - If we are to keep up to the 2 XDSU's, USD, NI, Montana's; we need a large donor, group of donars, winning seasons, more seating capacity, higher salaries, etc. We can't expect hockey to get us there. BB - That's a tough one, with the 3,000 seat realatively new Betty? Sure we can play some big games on the ice. Need more $, then again BB needs to make more $. HPC phase II needs to get done very soon. The Betty be paid for in 2020.

ND state legislature is the one to shoot arrows at. They didn't want the state to own The Palace on the Prairie for fear of funding it's survival? Dub has a pretty good handle on how this is set up. Div II football was doing OK under this setup. Div I requires more $ for each sport. All $ stay within UND and The Ralph, as per Strinden. UND general fund bails out the AD. NCAA requires 14 sports. Most sports lose money. If AD gets all FB ticket revenue right away instead of 48% nothing changes at the end of the school year because the $500,000 from The Ralph would NOT be given to AD at the end of the school year. The FB program is still short and therefor would not have any more to spend. The AD gets bailed out by the U, not a good scenario, especially in these budget challenging times. FB and any other sport need donations to get to the next level. The Alerus puts a handicap on FB program paying it's own because of the seating capacity, granted it's not an issue yet, but it will be. What this arrangement does do until September 30, 2030, is let The Ralph spend hockey made $ on MH without the consent of UND. Remember why KEM was lately in GF and Coach Berry thanked her. The AD isn't paying the $100,000 raise.

Except for the fact that these type of players usually are good enough to find a new home somewhere? Something like 19 credits can be more of a challenge.

I used digital tickets for the Wild playoff game in the blizzard and the Vikings game against Dallas. Bought the tickets on line and had them emailed to me, never printed them. I have tons of sports ticket stubs, some were even ripped in half at the gate. These will be a thing of the past since most digital will probably never be printed out by the consumer?

If there was hope, our financial weaknesses and cutting sports put the nail in the coffin. There is more talk now by non-hockey schools in the B1G about showing interest in Div I hockey.

MN took in $14M and we took in $1.6M. Crandall is gone, tough to compete in MBB with the large schools.

Like your sights down the road! These P5 games do bring some bacon home and are exciting to have on the early schedule.

I remember this was talked about at the beginning. Could of been a combination of both (Ralph's concerns of the U not managing like he would of wanted and the Legislature having concerns of getting a request to help pay the bills)
