Abe. That Abe. Oh. My.

Denver got a new logo and it's mandated on team jerserys. It's a gold snail with a red "D" painted on its shell. We are working to confirm if the new DU nickname is "slime trailers".

Article says 12 returning starters, 8 on offense ... and then goes on to say 5 on defense. Ten fingers and two feet and still couldn't get it right. Nebraska math.

The correct, updated phrase is: ... to not Amber Heard the bed ...

Yeah ... those machinery quonsets and grain tanks behind the grandstands at the start scream big time.

Perry had one already (ANA) and being on the short end three in a row, that's bad but not as bad as Marion Hossa: With DET in 2008 lost to PIT. With PIT in 2009 lost to DET. At least Hossa finally got one, no two, no three with CHI.

The cat's out of the bag at Bisonville so I'll say it. Vern was "Answer Guy" there ... and VMeister here. I'm going to miss that dry, wry sense of humor.

Per the FLA release: "The first year of Kiersted's contract (2022-23) will be a two-way contract, and the second (2023-24) will be a one-way contract." Translated? They expect him to bounce up and down this season and be steady up in 2023-24 (because they don't want to be paying $775k to someone in the minors). https://www.capfriendly.com/players/matt-kiersted

That's strange, but he visited Nebraska (see his Twitter) ... so what's that saying?

I hear it's a solid indicator of how your season will go. C'mon man, you know I had to.

Holden's new boss, NewsNet, is owned by the biggest shareholder of Gray Television. Gray Television owns: KVLY-TV (Fargo-Valley City, ND); KSFY-TV/KABY-TV/ KPRY-TV (Sioux Falls, SD); KFYR-TV/ KMOT-TV, KUMV-TV/ KQCD-TV (Minot-Bismarck, ND); KNDX-TV/KXND-TV (Minot-Bismarck, ND); KXJB-TV (Fargo, ND)

A controlled QB run/draw early in each half used to settle down Ketteringham and Landry (and Freund). I think the contact got rid of the yips and got them into the game.

Stanley Cup Game: 2022 Edition

Upon your victory I offer you a hearty ... -
Part of that is the coaches being predictable. Part of that is you being a fan and knowing your team and their tendencies. Geek Alert: Freund needs to come up with his own "Riker Alpha One" maneuvers and not be locked into how Picard (aka Locutus of Bubba) always does things.

They can only report what's there to report. Miller's article fills in the obvious gaps in McFeely's. That said, if there's stuff to report and they aren't, that's despicable, no matter where.

One more: Moving the steam plant (and coal pile) has cleaned up that area of campus. My only concern is fuel. The old plant was coal (stable cost); the new plant is natural gas and that pricing and supply has become, shall we politely say, volatile in the present environment. PS - Another nat-gas line to Grand Forks would be a good thing.

Miller's article is good, but I stand by my opinion that matters that would warrant a criminal charge should be dealt with in the public court system.

College Power-Brokers Poised to Turn NCAA Upside Down
The Sicatoka replied to northernraider's topic in NCAA News
@Hammersmith- Thanks for the info. That "18-20 not counting football" is going to be great for low cost women's sports (bowling), but I do believe that'll separate the haves and have nots. UND tried to do DI at 21 and is down to 17. NDSU is at 16. Montana? 15. Montana State is at 15 (M/W rodeo isn't NCAA sponsored). SDSU is at 19 and USD is at 18. The SD schools have women's emerging sports of equestrian and triathlon. What separates the P5 from the rest, the haves and have nots? Money. That's why the sponsored sports, and coaches, and scholarship requirements.
