  2. No, they also get their jollies off crushing, making examples of, those who can't fight back. If I were the purple cows I'd be worried the NCAA is getting out their set of ...
  3. Is this why McKay wasn't on the US Olympic roster?
  4. Ostarine is banned in the NCAA.
  5. So he played the second half the season under investigation based on Jan 23, 2022 results. I seem to recall a CCHA regular season and post-season title, and a couple regional wins and a national semis win. Hello? NCAA? Hello?

  7. If you're saying they take it soft on little brother, yup, they do. If Bubs had pulled the stops against US NTDP in January and let Albrecht et al go "load test the boards*" with red, white, and blue jerseys things would've been different. But if one of those NTDP kids gets hurt ... oh my would the wailing and gnashing of teeth commence. And they'd never schedule you again. So much for getting kids in to see REA. Again, which devil you want to dance with. *Would it be nicer to say "fill the seams in the boards with red, white, and blue spackle"?
  8. In this case we know Berry didn't tell a kid what he wanted to hear. Frankly, I'd be more worried about what the US NTDP is telling kids. So many (try to) make the jump directly to college. So many struggle their first year or two at college. Why? US NTDP is a skill game. College is an upperclassman game, and with rare exceptions known as first-rounders, upperclassmen (20-24 year olds) are no comparison to an 18 year old.
  9. Not sure if I should shed a tear or crack a beer.
  10. Savoie-faire is over there ... if over there is the Bakersfield Condors.
  11. I heard (herd?) a bunch of cow jokes over the weekend ... but I don't want to milk them.
  12. Brad's story has an (intentional?) tell. In his youngest recruits by age list he includes, not as potential, but as "fact": Dylan James (19th youngest under Hak/Berry), Jackson Blake (25th), Owen McLaughlin (35th), and Ben Strinden (54th). Thus, we know our incoming freshman forwards. I'll say it again: The article is a good read.
  13. It's a good read. If Spicer had followed the ask and come in 2023, he'd still be one of the younger forwards at college entry this century.
  14. I'm not sure a FOIA would be allowed under FERPA. You couldn't have "readily identifiable" information (to know what went where, who got what). You'd probably get a list of fractional values that add up to 18.
  15. He did play for East Grand Fork High ... < shrug > ... maybe they forgot the "East".
  16. Meh. Too easy. If you play for USNTDP you must be college ready. Just ask Grant Mism..., um, Gavin Hai..., er, Judd Caul... Nevermind.
  17. A list that short this soon after a decommit? Shouldn't he still be fielding calls?
  18. Hastings is 56; Knott is 43. Brad Berry is 57; Karl Goehring is 43, and it's clear to me KG is the heir apparent.
  19. He got G and D figured out, went to bed, and woke the next day not knowing how to manage a roster. Somebody get him to a Holiday Inn Express!
  20. The retirement frees him up to watch his boys play football.
  21. Is Todd Knott looking to move on from Mankato? He has to be in demand. You had to know Augie was going to find someone who knows Minnesota and the hockey region.
  22. Or are we on a crash course for something like the WCHA had? That ended as the genesis of the NCHC.
  23. He started as Summit commissioner on April 11. They guy hasn't found the head in his new offices yet, much less unpacked his day planner.
  24. Until he steps on the ‘ucci ice, he is an unknown at the collegiate level as well.
