Big A HG Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Well...with some help from a few of my friends and a lot of you here on in the forums, I finally have the REA Hockey Playlist complete. It's been done for awhile, but haven't posted it. I figured I would share it with y'all so when you are needing a hockey fix or having a party of some sort you have some songs you can listen to. Big A HG Posted May 31, 2007 Author Posted May 31, 2007 For some reason, I can listen to the first 7 songs over and over without getting tired of them. Also, if you have iTunes, you can set up Wasted Years and The Slam so the play the same way....like the first 20 seconds of wasted years going right into the middle of The Slam. Quote
The Whistler Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Please tell me we won't ever never hear Copa Cabana again. In fact I vote we ban Barry Manilow from all athletic events AND Bar Mitzvahs. Quote

PCM Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Please tell me that no more posters on Sioux Sports will quote Barry Manilow. Why? Is it just because Barry wants to teach the world to sing in perfrect harmony? Quote
The Whistler Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Why? Is it just because Barry wants to teach the world to sing in perfrect harmony? I thought that was Coca Cola, not Barry. Quote
PCM Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 I thought that was Coca Cola, not Barry. Dang. You're right. I was thinking that Manilow had a hand in writing that song. But like a good neighbor, you were there like State Farm to set me straight. Like McDonalds, you gave me a break today. Good work. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Since we seem to have adopted the bad lounge act genre: F-f-f-f-f-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-l-l-l-l-l-ings, whoa, whoa, whoa, f-f-f-f-f-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-l-l-l-l-l-ings ... Quote

PCM Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 That's It! You guys asked for it: Click here for it! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Make it stop!!! One of my favorite songs, first ruined by Blue Swede and then massacred by David Hasselhoff. Quote

SIOUXpucks Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Great list of songs and pretty comprehensive. I'm wondering what song gets used during the laser light show, it was also used at tonight's Sioux/Gopher game...and electronica type song, very quick tempo, no lyrics. Quote

In the past I believe they used Sandstorm by Darude. I don't recall if they still use that song. After all these years of pretty much the same light show I have completely tuned it out. Quote
Goon Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Do we have the latest play list by any chance, the music at warm ups was awesome. Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Isn't Into the Air by Phil Collins played during the video right before lineups are announced? Like before they come out? Quote

My son loves the laser light show, but it seems they don't do it as frequently as they used to, and worse yet they don't use as much of the animated skater guy at center ice that he and I like so much Oh well, there's always riding up and down the escalators Quote
Big A HG Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 If I was still at UND, I'd most definitely put together the latest list, but unfortunately I don't get the opportunity to know what it is. I still listen to the playlist from a few years ago regularly. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Both Neil Diamond and Jane's Addiction should be banned from the list of music used at games; otherwise I am okay with what is used. Quote

It's interesting how individualized the taste in music can be. If I were going to start a list of banned artists it would start with the Village People. Quote

From what I hear on TV, when I hear Spongebob music, or that stupid frog music or whatever it's called, I cringe. Keep those childish tunes away from the rink. Quote
