The Walrus Posted November 26, 2006 Author Posted November 26, 2006 The Borowicz's , Schmatlz's, Robson's, Deutsch's in football to name a few.. Hoogstens', Panzer's, Johnson's, Praise's in Hockey... Cascaes's, Montgomery's, in Baseball.. Manke's rule right now.. Quote
Shawn-O Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 That's a great list. Throw in the Ulmer's for hockey, too. Edit: Almost forgot about the Lundbohms and Hales...geez. Quote
UNDfaninMICH Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 OK, so they're not brothers, but they could play some basketball! Quote
The Walrus Posted November 26, 2006 Author Posted November 26, 2006 Pudenz sisters? They could have won this contest, if they quailified...They were the best, sisters by far..! Quote
HasaanJones84 Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Well if you're going to do combinations...how bout Sherri and Jim Kleinsasser......and if any of you disagree, Sherri will fight you. And win. Quote
BigGame Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Well if you're going to do combinations...how bout Sherri and Jim Kleinsasser......and if any of you disagree, Sherri will fight you. And win. That's not really a joke, I think see could have played football at UND. Quote
redwing77 Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 I don't know. The Mankes are probably second or third on my list behind the Parises in hockey. Parise Manke Johnson Panzer Hoogsteen Top 5. Manke and Johnson could be flip flopped. Quote
Siouxmama Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 I'll throw in a couple of "past" and "present" brothers. Travis and Darcy Zajac Colby and Chay Genoway I think Darcy and Chay are both going to light it up for the Sioux. Quote
82SiouxGuy Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 I was a kid when they played, but it is hard to beat these brothers in the all-time UND record book: Rushing Yards 1. Phillip Moore (1995-98) 5,467 2. Shannon Burnell (1990-93) 4,218 3. Bill Deutsch (1973-76) 3,283 4. Milson Jones (1979-81) 2,412 5. Dale Kasowski (1972-75) 2,383 6. Jed Perkerewicz (1998-2001) 2,373 7. Mike Deutsch (1970-72) 2,349 and: Total Touchdowns Scored 1. Phillip Moore (1995-98) 51 2. Shannon Burnell (1990-93) 37 3. Mike Deutsch (1970-72) 36 Dale Kaswoski (1972-75) 36 5. Ron Gustafson (1971-74) 30 6. Willis Jacox (1983-86) 26 7. Mark Bellmore (1969-72) 25 Tracy Martin (1984-86) 25 9. Bill Deutsch (1973-76) 24 Jed Perkerewicz (1998-2001) 24 Quote
Sioux-cia Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 The Panzer brothers together were a thrill to watch. They read each others minds and made magic happen on ice! Quote
sucka Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 I think that is an easy pick in my book, great choice! Any chance that Mrs Manke can have another child? I will talk to Shan immediately. She and Rick have some work to do. Quote
SiouxMeNow Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 I will talk to Shan immediately. She and Rick have some work to do. I'd book the Days Inn in Florence for December 2026 right now except we're going DI Quote
Siouxman Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 I was a kid when they played, but it is hard to beat these brothers in the all-time UND record book: and: When I saw this thread, the Deutsch brothers came to my mind. For those too young to know, the backfield of Dale Kasowski, Bill Deutsch, and Brian Grover at quarterback was something. I believe that UND averaged close to 400 yards/game rushing in 1975. Not much of a passing game though. Quote
Sioux27 Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Just to put a different twist on things. Best family ever: Here is a scenario that would make a hell of a family reunion The Brekke's from Warren Steve - Played two years at UND after t20 years at Devils Lake (All conference) (Replaced Rob Bollinger this past year) Mike - Played at UND (after two years at Crookston?) Chad - Played two years at UND (after two years at Crookston) (All conference) Kim - played at NDSU (No comment) Kim however married Durene Heisler's brother! I might be wrong on some of the years, but I think they are pretty close to correct. Quote
WiSioux Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 can't forget te Joneses... just to name some more brothers Quote
