I’d hope the NCAA would know by now that UND fans alone can fill a regional and thus moving teams to it isn’t needed 😉 I know it is the NCAA but they should not flip #19 and #13 under any circumstances. If you can't flip the 11 and 12 there is no way you flip teams 6 spots apart. 4 Quote

Number one seeds should host and everybody should play their numerical match. I could get on board with adjusting matchups to prevent conference foes meeting in the first round, but otherwise, we should be limiting human involvement in match making as much as possible. The high seeds need to be rewarded for playing well in the regular season and not punished to promote attendance 100% The NCAA isn’t low on cash. They can survive either a balanced tourney 1 Quote

My point is in the past they have flipped a 13 with a 15 who may or not be close(especially in the case of the 15) but they are so hung up on their bands that they won't even think of flipping #12 and #13 who may have a razor thin difference. I agree with you, looking at NPI in the 4 seeds Mankato and UConn are the closest Quote
fargosioux Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago My projections: Albany Michigan (1) v Bentley (16) Dartmouth (6) v Penn State (9) Sioux Falls UND (2) v Merrimack (15) Duluth (8) v Quinnipiac (10) Worcester Michigan St (3) v UConn (14) Providence (7) v Cornell (11) Loveland Western Mich (4) v Mankato (13) Denver (5) v Wisconsin (12) Quote

Dustin Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The qualifying teams, in order. #1 Seeds: Michigan, North Dakota, Michigan State, Western Michigan #2 Seeds: Denver, Dartmouth, Providence, Minnesota-Duluth #3 Seeds: Penn State, Quinnipiac, Cornell, Wisconsin #4 Seeds: Minnesota State, Connecticut, Merrimack, Bentley In perfectly true seeding, Dartmouth and Cornell would be paired for a regional semi-final, so there will be at least one swap. I think committee likes that Western Michigan and Denver pair for a regional, so only one NCHC team can make it out. I think they also swap Providence and Minn-Duluth for the same reason, plus that would be a natural attendance/travel swap. I think the committee pair Big Ten teams so only few can make it out of the regionals. That said, here's the way I see the bracket. Worcester: Michigan vs. Bentley, Providence vs. Penn State Sioux Falls: North Dakota vs. Merrimack, Minn-Duluth vs. Quinnipiac Albany: Michigan State vs. UConn, Dartmouth vs. Wisconsin Loveland: Western Michigan vs. Minnesota State, Denver vs. Cornell 1 Quote

It was pretty evenly matched games besides the Frozen Faceoff semifinal game. UND beat them twice in regulation, Duluth won twice in 3x3 OT and then the already mentioned semifinal game. Quote
Popular Post TwamleyShuffle Posted 2 hours ago Popular Post Posted 2 hours ago Regardless who we face, I think it’s good to take a step back and realize this time last year we didn’t have to worry who we played in the NCAAs as we didn’t make it. Great work to the team so far and let’s finish things off the right way #NineIsFine 6 Quote
RedFrog Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The question is what is the best answer for the 2 v 3 bands, specifically as it pertains to Dartmouth in the 2 band and the Queue and Cornell in the 3 band. Do you make three moves to fix it by putting UMD in Sioux Falls, Providence to Worcester, and Dartmouth to Albany? Or, do you simplify it by making 2 moves of UMD to Worcester and Dartmouth to Albany? Quote

On paper, the move isn’t Siouxper deleterious to us. As they are the 8th team in the tourney. Meaning we are on paper, getting a weaker opponent Quote
GeauxSioux Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Duluth did not win the regular season or the conference tournament. They should not be rewarded by moving up a slot due to geography. Quote
