brianvf Posted yesterday at 03:31 AM Author Posted yesterday at 03:31 AM Nice 4pt weekend in a place and against a team that UND has struggled with lately. Great jump in the NCHC race this weekend! Quote
Username Taken Posted yesterday at 03:32 AM Posted yesterday at 03:32 AM I’ll take it. 4 of 6 on the road against a pretty good team with a very good goalie that always saves their best for UND. 3 Quote
brianvf Posted yesterday at 03:35 AM Author Posted yesterday at 03:35 AM Still lost the faceoff battle, but a much more respectable 30-32 tonight. Quote
Wilbur Posted yesterday at 03:37 AM Posted yesterday at 03:37 AM I think they'd take 4 points on the road at any time in the second half of the season going forward here. Now you've got a Denver team coming in that got smacked at home by Western. 2 Quote

Really, winning the series would be huge in any capacity. 4 Quote
brianvf Posted yesterday at 04:02 AM Author Posted yesterday at 04:02 AM All teams have played 12 league games now. Top four have separated themselves a bit with the bottom 4 only separated by 4 points. UND 5 pts up on DU, 6 pts on WMU, and 8 pts up on UMD. Keep it rolling! 1 3 Quote

Popular Post Blackheart Posted yesterday at 05:06 AM Popular Post Posted yesterday at 05:06 AM Rewatched Zmolek's goal; he made a nice play coming in from the blue line to bury the cross ice feed. Twitter said it was his first goal in nearly four years...Congrats to the Captain! 5 Quote

After the first period tonight it seemed like North Dakota just took over this game. Second period was all Sioux as they retook the lead and the final period looked like the boys just wore CC down. Hope their goalie is ok; just don't want to play him again anytime soon. Quote
brianvf Posted yesterday at 06:05 AM Author Posted yesterday at 06:05 AM Huge props to Zmolek on his first goal in a UND sweater: Quote "I'm so happy for him," Jackson said. "It was a great read, a great pass and he got a lot of wood on it. It was really a high-skill play. The guys are so happy for him. He's such a leader for us in so many ways. Obviously, most of the time it's with his defensive play and penalty killing and everything else. But to see him bring out the offense in a big moment, I was just so happy for him. He's a warrior." Blackheart Posted yesterday at 06:12 AM Posted yesterday at 06:12 AM Play of the game may have been the save Spunar made on Blais-Savoie with about 10 minutes to go in the second and Sioux up 2-1. Guy got a great feed going across the crease and it looked like he may have 'fived' Spunar but no dice. Jan made a fantastic play at a crucial time. 3 Quote

That will be fun for the coaches to break down in the film room as we had bodies back and still allowed a guy in alone on our goalie. Quote

When we got home from the game I started watching the recording and just listening to Ken Landau’s call on that play said it all. He sounded utterly shocked that puck didn’t go in the net. In fact, at first, he sounded like he thought it did go in as he went into his, “HE SHOOTS AND….” And that’s where he stopped in his tracks before he could finish his catch phrase. 1 Quote

It's nice to have a goalie that's active in getting into the play and comfortable playing the puck. 1 Quote
nodakgirl93 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Looks like Mbereko got hurt when Reschny went hard to the net. Similar to Michigan and Notre Dame. Quote

Much prefer the guy who did the game on Friday to Landau. “Where Grandma keeps the peanut butter” is old and be reserved for the guy who actually created it. 2 Quote
