What a difference a year makes. Last year's team would have found a way to lose after the Sun Devils tied the game. That didn't happen. UND came out in the third period with a purpose. 

 

This year's team has a good mental makeup: they keep pressing and don't sit back to try to hold a lead; they keep pushing to score more goals and pad the lead.

Now that AIC folded, nobody in college hockey does more with less than St Cloud State. The school is circling the drain and I won't shed a tear for it, but losing programs is bad.

I thought Thoreson’s goal was a helluva a goal too. Too bad he ruined it when he acted like a total d*ck skating by the UND bench and chirping the players. But, that’s his M.O., which dates back to his highschool playing days so we shouldn’t expect anything less from him.

I noticed that too. Still down a goal too. The guys on the bench must have had a good laugh at that.

Thoreson is a clown, but a skilled clown. One that you’d want on your team but hate as an opposing team/fan. Like Brett Hextall was for us.

Earlier in the game you could see Young just laughing at Thoreson when he was trying to instigate.  There was a play in the game also that I think would have been a penalty on us, but since it was Thoreson the refs might have thought it was a dive.  Remember when he gifted us a power play goal last year because of his embellishment penalty.  Glad his reputation precedes him.

When you think about it, we could have conceivably had 4 freshmen centers last night if they would have had Klee at center rather than Littler.  So much room to grow for this group.

I guess that is my point , losing programs is bad and a program that has been successful.  That whole college is struggling though , and the arena was only half full so not pulling in the revenue they used to either.
