I found it a bit comical last when when a few of you thought we had the next Vinatieri after watching our backup kicker make 4 extra points and a short FG.

I sure hope he does end up being like Vinatieri. I missed the 4th quarter on Saturday so I didn't know who missed the FG and hadn't looked it up. I still thought it may have been a bit premature after just one game the previous week to get that excited about the backup kicker. But CJ hasn't looked very good this year, so I get why the excitement for someone new.

I dont think he is the backup anymore. He was also highly recruited so I expect a good kicker.

CJ's injury may end up being a good thing as it gave the new kid a chance. Would be nice to go back to the days of not being nervous on XP's and short FG's.

Why not makes it look not a bad, when the special team coach didn't bench him earlier in the year.
