DuPont Mich or maybe MN like other noted, that makes sense. No idea on Rudolph but again, probably Big10. They’ll get some $

I was thinking Michigan or DU for DuPont.  Larson could use another D and a C and still has some room to wiggle with the roster, but the Gophers don't toss money around like PSU allegedly did to Gavin so I'm not sold either will be in Dinkytown.  Although there are a couple small ties with DuPont....extreme longshot.

And quite honestly as a fan, not sure I want the one hit wonders that are chasing the bag (glad they got Tarin Smith but I don't think money was the selling point).  I'd rather see a 2-3 year guy who wants to be there for what it is, as you guys have personally seen with Carels, Verhoeff, and everyone else.

I already like what Larson did on the back end for UM, but holy buckets did Jackson and the crew do some insane work for UND.  Impressive.

Would seem that Michigan needs one of DuPont or Rudolph. They lack right shot D besides Mews (the lack of right shot D probably cost them the Frozen Four Semifinal & National Championship since Mews was out injured for most of the season), they need one of em

january of 2008...not a great prospect...I would guess CC de-committed him

Maybe not elite, but leading Shattuck in goals doesn’t seem a reason to decommit a player if you aren’t an elite team.

playing his own birthyear...hes good, not really d1.  He tied Sunger in points.  I love Sung, but he's a 5'8 16 year old...

We’ll see.

You could very well be right, he could have been decommitted. But I saw him play 2-3 times this year and saw him play here and there over the past 2 years or so. He’s actually pretty good. Yes, he’s playing at his own birth year but he was 100% a later bloomer. And still, right now, he really needs to add some weight to his frame. I think folks get a bit lost with purely looking at ages…he’s actually gotten better and better while also dealing with injuries. He had a much better role on that SSM team than Grubb.  And while I realize hale is a year older, anyone who’s seen them knows Grubb is more physically mature at this stage.

we’ll see how it all plays out.

…and not only that, but most guys who are top scorers don’t play the same role in college.  Don’t know how he plays, so can’t speak to that.  It just would seem strange if CC decommitted him, why do so without seeing how he does at Sioux City.  Even if the five year rule was a factor, they could still wait a year to see how it plays out.

Free Athletic article on the Ruck twins:

Not sure how many NCAA schools still have two forward spots remaining and the NIL resources to land them both this year if they move NCAA.  I guess we'll see.

After losing to the Prince Albert Raiders in the Eastern Conference final, they also know that another big decision now looms for them: return to junior or go to the NCAA. Both were diplomatic about that option, saying they’re leaving it for the summer and a conversation with their agent, Titan Sports Management’s Kevin Epp, and that they know what they have with Desjardins and their “amazing” billets in Medicine Hat if they come back.

These CHL players need to stop waiting until the last minute to commit and the teams need to tell them to announce it right away. Colleges are not going to wait until the last minute for these players to make their choice

Maybe not last minute, but it is evident that many will wait at least until after the draft.  It is important to have a little roster flexibility, but to your point, the guys who could be pushed off a bit need to know in a more timely manner whether they will be going to school, or back to juniors.

This is interesting...in the great history of Shattuck St Mary's, only 29 players that played their 18 year old season at Shattuck went on to be NHL draft picks.  The vast majority of their cred is due to kids that played there, but left at 16 or 17.

Correct. I wasn’t talking about “drafts” I was talking about guys who make teams.  Again, later bloomers typically go undrafted at various levels (ushl/chl, 40 man, nhl, etc) but they make teams. First rounders are first rounders, not talking about those types. I’m more talking about guys who develop later and make teams. I think hale fits that makeup. Again, he’ll need to pack some weight on. He’s skilled. Drafts are obviously beneficial, but they’re point in time markers.

After his successful year, I would be confused as to why cc would deco him, unless there was some sort of coaching change im not aware of.

Zero chance we get the ruck twins being full up at forward, right? I'm assuming they're 100% going NCAAs this coming season and not 27-28?

Zero chance for this year, for sure.
I could see them going back to CHL for another season though too unless there is a blue blood that has two open forward spots and some NIL to spare.
Then maybe CHL for this fall, then NCAA for a season?

That article mentions their childhood friend is committed to Penn State.

That honestly wouldn't surprise me.
PSU lost a ton this offseason (assuming McKenna signs as well).

Throwing money at some players likely did not sit well with others. Gadowsky's son had one of the sharpest drops in recent memory too.
