I don’t follow high school hockey too closely, but my son GFC had a kid that battled Grubb when they were in bantams and could easily be playing AAA somewhere. Sounding more and more like RR's Ulmer going to play juniors next year. Quote
SiouxperDave Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Gritty win for the Davies girls. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a puck cross the goal line any slower than it did on their game tying goal. The Davies goalie gave her team the chance to steal that one. Quote

The really sad crap is family's being suckered to leave for a notable programs 15U " AAA " team.... 15AAA is 16U tier 2 but hey that extra A gets the checkbook out. 15O is a specific USA designation that has its own national tournament, I would not say the kids playing 15O AAA out of Shattuck or BK or Caesars or Honeybaked are playing AA... Talked to my buddy from Devils Lake who use to be on the NDAHA Board. He said Devils lake has lost 7 players to EGF High School and another 2 to bantams. That is asinine for a small town like DL Quote

Century lost 6, Legacy lost 6 and even BHS lost 6 although it looks like maybe 2 of the BHS 6 just quit. Either way that is 18 kids just in Bismarck alone. No wonder they can't be competitive. Quote

PxP said Shanley's best player was boarder and hurt? I didn't see any penalties on that either? I missed it so must not have been as bad as the announcer alluded? He was boarded and broke his collar bone. I was hoping a west team got through, but the officials missed that one. Quote

He’s managed to convince four different strong hockey families to move to EGF over the past few years, adding up to nine kids by my count. From what I can tell this year, that’s two now for EGF High School, two in bantams, and five in peewees. It’s a pretty strange ordeal. Panzer has never really come across as especially sharp or personable to me, yet he somehow talked respectable families who I always thought were smart, loyal hockey people into uprooting their lives for their kids to play a slightly different schedule of teams in youth hockey. A few even sold or walked away from successful family businesses. The whole thing is just bizarre. 1 1 Quote

Wilbur Posted 14 hours ago Author Posted 14 hours ago North/South loses in OT back to back years at the state tournament. You wonder how many kids like Fischer can come through a program. Soft goal to end the game, but thats OT for ya. 36 minutes ago, siouxweet said: On the girls side WF with the massive upset over North/South. Quote

siouxweet Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago The PA announcer is an absolute embarrassment for being a PA announcer. Horrible pronunciation of names. Pretty sure there was zero effort to talk to the teams about how names should be announced. 1 Quote
