Wouldn't necessarily stop kids from Crookston from enrolling in Sacred Heart either.  

Would be an interesting development, that's for sure.

If EGF said "f it" and went AA hockey would kids from ND move across the river?

I believe you are correct about the Co-op.  EGF didn't want to Co-op and take opportunities away from their students.  SH should have just told them if we can't Co-op we will just start your own team and be AA.  I'm not sure how many EGF, GFC, and GFRR parents would pay for there kids to play AA Minnesota hockey, but I'm guessing with the amount parents pay for Hockey already they could make it work.

I've heard this tale for over a decade. 

Closest it's come is when UND D Ethan Frisch would catch a daily mass on the east side and chat with his old priest from Moorhead (Msgr. Mike Foltz).

Well the person I'm referring to has a kid that is playing Mite hockey. Of course it isn't going to happen with a parent group that already has kids in bantams.

Wow Grafton ended up beating Fargo North+South again?! They're all of the sudden on a 5 game winning streak. They have beaten FN twice now and WF once in EDC play. If they can beat DL and WF this time around, they would have 5 wins and might be fighting with Shanley and DL for the 6 spot instead of fighting with WF for the 9 spot. DL is in a slump losing 5 in a row with WFS and GFC up next which easily could make it 7 in a row while they're still short handed forwards. I'm guessing FD will thump WF tonight and continue to move up the EDC standings.

North kid took a major penalty the last 4 minutes of the game and the Spoilers rolled off three power play goals to tie the game late, and then won it in OT while still on the major power play according to the game sheet.

Holy smokes that is wild. I thought I recalled FN being ahead by 3 late in the game and must have wrote it off as a FN win at that point. 

Looks like most if not all games are being postponed tonight. Guessing same will happen with tomorrow's games if not Saturday's games too. That'll push quite a few games into that week of Feb 9th which is the final week before EDC play-in games start the next week.

Gotta say as RR alumni that seeing Central knock off Moorhead made me smile.  Minnesota does not have a monopoly on high school hockey....well, they do for day in day out....but a GF school can beat the best of Minny on any given night.  GF might not be growing like Fargo, but as long as there is UND hockey, there will be players and teams.   Congrats to Central, and congrats to the families and coaches that keep developing these players....not sure if kids still grow up on the ODRs of GF like I did, but I sure hope so...

They get enough ODR time to understand that cold toes and cold fingers don’t matter if you enjoy playing to compete. 
 

a lot of fine people grew up well by learning the etiquette of the ODR. 
 

ND on the whole can’t compete with the MN top 20 but place the large ND schools against MN AA and they play at least 0.500 hockey. Place the small town against MN A and they play at least 0.500, or better if you can cherry pick your schedule against crappy teams (looking at you, MayPort).
