I very much agree that Whittet has been in the role for way too long and he probably would've had that job as long as he wanted anyway since the Brown administration could care less about hockey, but very unfortunate way to be leaving the head coach job.

Last night the ACHA game had to be moved inside because ice conditions were bad

It's USports, and they had to fill a roster after most of their team from last year left via graduation/portal, so that was the strategy they went with. The regular NCAA portal was pretty weak for them to be able to get guys to fill voids.

I don't think they were going to be a top team in conference regardless.

Outdoor games are OK to watch on TV but I will never go to one in person again. Sight lines are terrible and way too far away to see action.
