Even more reason I say Mal blew up the team!  She finally had the pieces last year and whatever happened during the season it blew up at the end. I would argue that team may have competed for 3rd if we kept Josie, Ibrahim and Pemberton.   She couldnt keep them together.  I still think back to our 2 Four Star recruits we got out of Michigan.  Neither contributed.  They both transferred to Omaha together and that coach got fired that week.  Then one transferred to a D2 school.

Had to look it up since you brought it up. Rakiyah Beal transferred to Alabama A&M.  Played 30 games and started 28 of them averaging 24.7 minutes.  A&M won the in season division title.  I would call that a pretty good year and a smart decision to leave!  Maybe look some stuff up before you talk trash about something you know nothing about!

OK First I did Look her up Long before you did!  I would say NOW as a junior in a League that is WAY less quality teams then a Summit league now averaging 7 Points and 2 rebounds is NOT Great for a 4 star recruit .  Did you look up Hurst Stats too??  How well did she do at the D2 school?    If you watched any games of UND and you seem like a real expert you would know Rakiyah was NOT a asset to the team.  Maybe a third rate league she can get some minutes.  So stop spewing all your trash.   You obviously have a beef with Hutter!

Based on KenPom's ratings for the 2024-2025 season (approaching the final rankings in March 2025), the Division 1 women's basketball conferences with the lowest average adjusted efficiency margin (AdjEM) are typically the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) and the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) 

So yeah your star can average 7 points in the worst womens conference.

If we are going to start assuming things I would say you're his relative and boyfriend!  Once you and him get done doing whatever it is you do together.  Why don't both of you take your head out of the door that's been slamming on it running the same offense chucking up 3's all year with no adjustments!  Example - I got great idea we have this quarterback that can't throw but let's run an offense were the only thing he does is throw. BRAINDEAD COACHING!

There is one question we all need to ask ourselves- Is the current coach who we want being the face of a program built on tradition and accountability?  He has a long ways to go.  Remember he was involved and in charge of the  recruiting for the past 2 years.  The players that entered the portal could have decided to stay after he was hired - so was he also part of the reason for leaving?

Yes prior to him being named HC. I mean they could have came back if they thought Hutter was the answer.

That statement above is not correct before Hutter was even hired we had eight or nine in the portal and when we had this mass exodus then Berhard resigned. These players had chose transfer and there was never any public statement they wanted to return and internally I don’t know but usually once you enter portal very players return to their school. After this was when Hutter was hired next coach. 
Also was hired late in 2024 - 2025 he was not involved with the team structure he was hired as assistant coach. The recruits of  Hillesheim, Harvey and reardon were Berhard recruits.  Hutter signed six on this team after he was hired to fill out this roster Harris, Ava miller, Hannah miller, Ohnstad, Hughes, and Klosterbuer.  The recruits he was responsible especially for the players that number of years of eligibility showed potential to develop into players that could develop into solid role players for the program. Some of the problem number of girls that came in have had injuries this season. Harris, Harvey Klosterbuer, and Reardon were out at the end of season plus Hillesheim, Volmer, and fletcher did have injuries through the season.  I started this reply yesterday and see continued discussion about Hutter but I think this needs to be disclosed it gives texture to what we have been thru. Ithis shows his roster build of players with  several years of eligibility have shown potential even when this team was gutted before he was hired trying to put together roster on short notice late in the process. Ironically same thing happened to Omaha this year only difference we kept some core players but both just as dismal roster restructures. This past year was never going to be anything but wasted year until we could start to rebuild of this program to be successful now you need core of high school with strategic transfer players fill in weaknesses.  This reality of where we were last year and where we are now with basketball program that has many deficiencies facilities, finances, and support from university and this is not just this program but men’s basketball, and volleyball as well other programs that are just catching up now. I think we may actually ahead because number of players on this roster could be core to developing team that least can become competitive in conference but to become contender we need to invest in this program like top five teams in the conference have done we’re not even close now.
