Please clarify what you mean by  'loaded'. Try to frame 'loaded' in terms of the number of high draft choices on a college team, because 'skilled players' is vague (ie, Penn St had quite a few skilled players last year, but they were far from loaded). Would 4 or more players on a team drafted in the 2nd round or higher fit your definition of a loaded team?

Well it looks like I'm wrong about the expectations for next year and agree that "skilled" is a pretty vague descriptor that didn't even make sense in the way I was trying to use it (Swanson is skilled, but at this point is not a player who would add to a team being "loaded" in my mind). To me loaded roughly means 4 players on offense reasonably expected to put up big points-say high 30s+-based on draft status or past college production. For example, 2 freshman that are first rounders or have a resume like Zellers, in combination with at least 2 older players who are also first rounders or have already put up high 30s-ish points at an NCHC, BIG10, or HEA school. I'd say 4 players that are 2nd round or higher could make for a loaded team, especially if the middle 6 is rounded out with other players capable of putting up 25+ points. Hopefully next years team plays D like UMD 5 years ago.

The "Chippahs" won't be around longer than 2 years. So you have to have a solid foundation of 3 to 4 year guys in order to win consistently from October to April.

I’m not sure anyone will be around for more than 2 years anymore haha

Is Isaac Gordon still expected to commit?

Yes, sometime later today.

Should this be a concern that we have heard nothing about this yet, or is it just a matter of time?

No, they’re only announcing commitments on Friday’s under chyzyk and 2 a day is the max. Sandy and Gordon will be official on Friday.

I am not worried. Gordon is exactly what UND is looking for and Gordon follows UND hockey on instagram. I would say it is very likely that he commits here shortly

Glad to see this ... now could we please land Mckenna ... I don't want to hear any more about Michigan.

If NIL has to be a thing ... "Pay that man his money!"

Seems like the kind of game changing player that (with all these other additions) could truly make us a top contender next year.

Agreed 1000%

I still haven't forgotten about what happened in 1998.

Who’s he going to play with? From a selling standpoint. How is Bryn going to sell who he is playing with? Because Michigan will match $4$.

The fastest player in college hockey (James) and the USHL goal scoring champ (Zellers).

I'll take the easy way out on this one .... That is Bryn's job, not mine. If everything comes down to cash ... then college hockey is over. I'd like to think UND and our hockey program has some other selling points.

Someone should do a compare and contrast to our latest addition and roster vs. Michigan.

Backend D-core and goaltending, UND is a leg up.

Imo, I don’t think the loss of Jayden Perron to Michigan hurts UND’s roster. Addition by subtraction. He was a turnover machine and liability. Great offense skill, though.
