The teams that are left in the tournament show you can win both ways, with a bunch of high end guys and guys that just become a team and will work for what is best for the team.   Western and Penn State don't have the big time recruits, and neither did UConn or UMass, yet all of them made a run.  UND should be able to get enough high end guys to make a run, but only if they can get all the guys to buy in and work together as a team rather than a bunch of individuals that have their own self interests in mind.

So fans that invest their entertainment $$$ in season tickets are now asked to invest more $$$ so that the entertainment product that they have already invested in doesn't suck? No thanks. Life is too short to deal with this $#it?

100% correct. I have even heard of Agents/advisors letting the head coach of their current team know that player x would like to discuss his power play time and line mates with you instead of player just going straight to coach.

A coaching change and the chaos that has been going on behind the scenes all season is what's causing this.

If players want a fresh start somewhere else, that's fine.

My problem is with players who demanded Jackson be hired and then left anyway.

...and all the while the Athletic Director listens to the hockey Alumni when deciding a new coach.   Perhaps they should be the ones laying out all the money for NIL, because who in their right mind would put money towards individuals when they aren't being led in a way to become a team.  I am not so sure that some of this money isn't going to create division in the ranks to begin with, making team building even harder.

Daughter and son in were in Fargo for the weekend and he texted me this on Sunday:
 

“Rode the elevator last night with 5 guys from the Western Michigan team and their trophy and one said “New UND Hockey Coach was named, Dane Jackson” another one replied “Dude that’s not going to solve their fucking problems” 😑”

This is a make or break moment in the history of SIoux hockey...the same way the Ralph set us up for 20 years of competitive play.  Right now, we need massive NIL$ and we need to go snag the best possible guys out there.  Chippas laugh at 23 year olds playing college hockey...chippas won't ever sniff the NAHL...chippas need to run and we need some NOW or else we are never getting back

On stronger Sioux teams of not so recent past, only James would have cracked the top 3 lines.  I like the others as players/contributors but they just can't be something they aren't.
