Gives them extensions and then when they fail, it costs the university money. When does he just get let go ? If i cost my employer as much as he has i wouldn't have a job. Wasn’t he let go by eastern Washington and UND then hires him. who was the fool that did that ? Quote

Tim at least has 12 wins and is in maybe the best mid major D1 league. But I’m not actually advocating for Tim Miles. Kyan Brown is my guy Quote

The fact he won 21 games a couple of years ago and 12 so far this year is impressive IMO. Minimal NIL to work with and 0 attendance at their games. Quote

iramurphy Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Sather isn’t going anywhere, but why would we replace a guy who was successful at Northern and replace him with someone who wasn’t successful? The bottom line is both of these guys can coach. Sather’s job isn’t in danger. 2 Quote

I think what I take of that news is could be a chance Sather decides he’s had it here with the portal attrition and go back home. Now that attrition can hit there too but would imagine the thought has at least crossed his mind. Plus basketball is #1 there, not #3. Quote

Maybe, but he sure seems to be dedicated to his players and excited about the potential to finish the season on a positive note and go into the conference tourney with momentum. I don’t think Northern will be immune to portal attrition. I believe the Bison got Moni from Northern. Quote

Do they extend him a year or let him coach with 1 year remaining on his contract? If it’s up to me he’s gone. 1 Quote

UND1983 Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Sather is 72-112 and has won one Summit tourney game (play in) since his first year with Jones players, when he won two. I cannot believe our once proud school would even consider extending that. 1 Quote
