We HAVE TO be sure we have guys who are gonna be out for a bit because frankly, it would be a disaster to have him come in and sit the bench because people healed up. Plus, that's a very awkward conversation with Fargo, who's rapidly becoming a the best team in the USHL and a pipeline that we MUST keep open, that we're going to take your best player. I'm thinking Matt Cullen's son.... Yes for sure. If it's just Zmolek that is out long-term, maybe they just stick with the crew we have now and hope that no other D longterm injuries come along during the rest of the season. We just seem to get into this scenario every year now with dmen. Even if it's not Laurila, I could see them bringing in another D at semester break if these injuries keep piling up. Quote

Feels like a smarter plan to bring in an older guy, IMO 1 Quote

Sacha Perron Mac Based on how well we’ve been on breakaways I say we give Hobie a chance to shoot But really I think you’ve got a solid shootout lineup there with Wilkie being another good option Quote
brianvf Posted November 8 Author Posted November 8 Dressing every single available skater. Kunz needs a good game to get rolling again after a rough weekend in NY. That 2nd line is skilled...glad they were kept together. TJ needs a redemption game. Hopefully Hobie gets a shot tomorrow too. 1 Quote

Saturday was about as bad of a game as any player could have. And how much ice time does that third D pair get? It's a little scary. Quote

Play like an upperclassmen and show you deserve that spot on the top unit. If he's not going well they need to throw Jammer up there. It's league play time, no passengers. Quote

.357 Posted November 9 Posted November 9 For Hobie, hard to develop your skills in net when streaky senior transfer goalies are constantly eating up your minutes. I don't get it. TJ may have solid games here & there, but he's prone to major brainfarts; plus Hobie will be the primary goalie next year anyway so he needs some important starts to gain experience & become more polished (you would think anyway, unless Berry can get another senior transfer goalie, maybe from the CCHA next time). 2024-25 goalie comparison: TJ: 5 GP, 3.12, .882 HH: 3 GP, 2.25, .913 1 Quote

Jammer in place of Kunz would be wise if that line doesn’t start rolling by the end of the first period. Quote

I know Omac was brutal at faceoffs but him at center with Berg’s shooting abilities they could really get things going Quote

Monty dressing as a dman again. No timetables on returns for Zmolek, Strathmann, Croal, or Komzak in this article...that's probably not a good sign. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/cameron-berg-expected-to-return-to-lineup?fbclid=IwY2xjawGYvk1leHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHZrcXezQr7-aKMPkVid-H4Eeep5xh8r2MkHracHI3HAVWMoXPxKOPoEJ9Q_aem_nT2XArcMa7htbMvsIaF9dw Right?! He got in one game and then has been out the rest of the season. Need him back sooner rather than later... I can’t remember how he received his injury. How did it happen? Quote
