Heard some other things about player dissatisfaction that paint a pretty unpleasant picture, which is pretty depressing if there's that much angst. I wouldn't be surprised if what you are saying is true. My guess (again, just a guess) for departing players: Hobie Strathman Croal Emery Boisvert 1 Quote

Such a stupid premise. It is such a stupid statement to make. Criticism isn't a bad thing, and it can be taken any way you perceive it. The people that say they are "true fans" are probably the same ones who whined and complained because they didn't get a trophy for coming in last place. 2 Quote
Oxbow6 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Which players have bolted to the portal on their own vs being pushed out the door for a shiny new object?? Quote
SIOUXELEVENS Posted February 11 Author Posted February 11 If we can bring a new coach on and keep players and recruits this team can be very good , lots of talent but we need a leader to put it together. Swanson. Perron , Boisvert, James, McLaughlin , Strinden would all benefit from a change. The defense can do nothing but get better. Quote

RhettRingers Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Perron will be wearing the maize and blue, Emery will be at Mich St, Boisvert will be at BU, Omac is also gone. Quote

This could be a rough off-season for the team unless something changes. Like SIOUXELEVENS mentions above, the team next year could be very good with Swanson Perron Boisvert James McLaughlin Strinden Livanavage Emery etc and add in Zellers & Laurila. But if some of those key pieces depart, it could take a couple years to rebound again. Something needs to change...it just has to. 2 minutes ago, siouxkid12 said: My personal opinion is that the "C" goes on Zmolek next year. I'm just hoping that he's able to play again... 1 Quote

Just talked to two people about this this past week. Sounds like everything is currently on track for him to play next year. I will remain hopeful. 5 Quote

Guys, I hate to break it to you, but NHL scouts love UND. We're still very much appreciated as a program that develops players into pros. I have no doubt that that image will diminish if things don't improve, but as of right now, the NHL loves how UND develops players. 1 Quote

You really don't think that we'll lose key players this off-season if Berry is retained? Just to be clear, what I think will happen this off-season (losing multiple key players to the transfer portal) I never thought was possible for UND prior to this year. Quote
