Only way Wentz starts over JJ is if JJ comes in and flops and Vikings are in Playoff picture or JJ is injured. Quote

If the Vikings have to rely on Wentz as QB for anything other than 2 minutes of mop up duty it's going to be a long long season. Quote

Hawkster Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Final 53 man roster is out. They are keeping 4 QB's on the roster, Murray, Wentz, McCarthy, and Brosmer. That certainly shows they don't have much faith in any of them and certainly not in the bottom 3. https://www.dailynorseman.com/minnesota-vikings-roster/98570/minnesota-vikings-53-man-roster Quote

Murray also has a history of getting hurt so it is very likely the Vikings will start multiple QBs during the season. They all might get a chance to play. Quote

sioux rube Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Brosmer has been waived. Could be back on practice squad if he clears waivers Quote

Then again you said he would be out of the league 5 years ago Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Forget about Wentz and J.J. I am more interested in whether Kyler Murray can give the offense a much needed shot in the arm. 1 Quote
Blackheart Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Not a JJ McCarthy guy but he has really had an extremely short leash for a rookie/almost rookie quarterback. His numbers are very similar to Josh Allen's in his first ten games as a starter. Everything I read about him now is that he will be traded once he gets healthy. If so, that's a huge kick in the groin for the Vikes. I thought O'Connell was the qb whisperer...apparently JJ can't hear him. 1 1 Quote

If I was a team that wanted JJM you giving me more pieces then just him. 1 Quote

He ends up being a total miss at pick #10 or he gets traded for a 7th round pick and lights it up in two years for the effin' Browns? Quote

The Sicatoka Posted September 1 Posted September 1 Compare first ten starts of JJ and Josh Allen. Quote
Wilbur Posted September 1 Author Posted September 1 I guess I wasn't surprised to see "9" make the team. Nobody wanting to take that trade, and KOC still with that glimmer of hope in his mind that he's the QB guru and can make him into an NFL QB. I'm sure we will see all three QB's play at some point this year with the injury history of Kyler and "9". Maybe gopher legend Max Brosmer ends up back on the 53 man when all is said and done. First game seems like forever away. Quote
sioux rube Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago It's the home opener against their biggest rival and they are without Jacobs, Parsons and quite possibly two of their starting OL. Losing this game would be a demoralizing way to start the season Quote
Wilbur Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago If the Wilfs weren't afraid of firing Kwesi then KOC has to be an easy fire right? Quote
