Wilbur Posted February 24 Posted February 24 4-3 Red River after 2. They stay out of the box and they are fine, but to South/Shanley's credit they are hanging around. 1 shot game. Quote
sioux rube Posted February 24 Posted February 24 RR wins it 5-3. That fifth goal was as weak as they get Quote

Wilbur Posted February 24 Posted February 24 1-0 GFC after 1. Not a totally dominant period by Central, but had the better looks. Washburn solid for Central all season long. Just a steady presence in the net. Quote
Cratter Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Just turned into the Minot vs Central High hockey game. My God. What a sad display of attendance. Especially for a semifinal hockey game. A small arena and a even smaller crowd. Same amount in the stands as on the hockey teams. I had hoped better for Fargo. Quote

Wilbur Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Regardless of where it is played attendance is just dwindling for hockey in North Dakota. I love the REA but it would look the same there. Although playing music and a goal song would be nice there Scheels arena.... Quote

Cratter Posted February 24 Posted February 24 This championship game would be sold out and rocking tonight if it was in Purpur Arena. Quote

Wilbur Posted February 24 Posted February 24 As I walked out of the rink last night I ran into a long time high school coach who had a great line about the all GF final after we talked about "state of ND hockey". "Grand Forks may be the only place in the state where playing for their high school teams means something to these kids. They deserve to play each other in the ship." 100% 4 Quote
