Those sweeps of Union and Long Island University kinda show we haven’t exactly beaten world beaters. CC’s showing improvement from the dreaded Haviland years but Kris Mayotte still has a ways to go. BusinessSiouxt Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 The western Omaha game was wild. Three goals called back, two for Omaha and one for Western. Omaha wanted an overtime. Quote

Wilbur Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 The Duluth bulldogs are just a wagon right now in the meaningless nonconference shootout. A wagon. Quote

brianvf Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 ASU squeaked out a couple wins this weekend against winless Stonehill. Not encouraging going into their games against DU next weekend. We'll see how they do against the Pios. Quote

AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 I'm curious what the bench minor was that gave Wisconsin the power play with time running out in the 3rd. Quote

Kevin G Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 A huge chunk of the non-conference season is in the books. Here's how the conferences have done so far, ranked by winning percentage: Big 10--.700 (30-12-3) Hockey East--.685 (31-14-1) NCHC--.653 (28-13-8) ECAC--.415 (16-23-2) CCHA--.347 (13-28-8) Atlantic Hockey--.300 (12-28-0) There's definitely a top-three/bottom-three situation. The top three conferences are getting wins from everyone: Neither the Big 10 nor the NCHC currently has a team with an overall record of below .500 (Duluth and Ohio State are both 3-3-3), and Hockey East's "worst" teams are only a game under .500. The Sicatoka Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Just watched UND@BU highlights (Fri and Sat). What I learned: UND's goalie is Peterson UND's 28 is Johanson Tim Hennessy is nowhere near the biggest broadcasting homer out there Quote

Michigan contended that it had scored a goal, saying that a shot by Rutger McGroarty from the right circle had gone in before the whistle for a net coming off. A Wisconsin player pushed Michigan's Dylan Duke into the net, causing it to dislodge just as McGroarty was shooting. The puck seemed to go in, but officials ruled that it only went in because the net came off. Quote Michigan lost the challenge, and because it had already used its timeout, was called for a bench penalty for delay of game. 2 Quote
