They looked good "in the first half." Impressed with the second year NDSU coach. They might be a force in the near future. Quote
gfhockey Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 Pryor going to chew some but tonite Quote
Cratter Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 No killer instinct for the Fawkers. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 Not pretty, but a win is a win. They will get better, lets see what the finished product looks like in November 2 Quote
SiouxVolley Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 The nine aces for NDSU stand out, including the last 2 pts of the final 6 pt run of the 4th set for NDSU. The 13 service errors for UND is unacceptable. Almost as if this team was more nervous than SU. Brynn Neukirk had 20.5 pts which is very strong for a freshman. Mauch and Hegerle and other young players give NDSU give it a decent core for the future. NDSU had been so pathetic in the recent past. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 The attendance was 2401. Guess the excitement over last year’s team has settled down. Quote

Also sat out quite a bit in the first game. Every time she came out of the game she was riding a bike off behind the bench. 1 Quote

SiouxVolley Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 UND tied after two with Oral Roberts. UND was ahead in the second set 24-18, but ORU scored seven straight and then won it 30-28. ORU is only 3-11 coming into the match, Quote
SiouxVolley Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 Lose 3rd set 25-21. Win 4th set 25-18. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 Wins the 5th set, 15-8. Now 11-8 on the year. Next game SDSU. 1 Quote
Smoggy Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 Two five setters in three days and short turn around to tomorrow with I believe 4 pm start. Guessing could be a struggle. Quote

Dustin Posted September 29, 2018 Author Posted September 29, 2018 UND is not playing very good volleyball right now, but at least they’ve found ways to survive against inferior teams. If they keep playing like this, teams like Denver or South Dakota are going to rout us. We’re just a little too young and too inexperienced to climb to the top of the Summit this year. (A lot like our first year in the Big Sky). Quote
MDtoGF Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 If you guys would like a bit more on the win from last night check out my recap. https://seamoresports.com/2018/09/29/that-was-close-how-und-won-five-set-thriller-against-oral-roberts/ Quote
SiouxVolley Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 Won 3-0 vs SDSU 4-1 in conference, but those 4 wins are against the weakest conference teams. In the write up for the ORU game, Pryor said that Fraase really took on the leadership role to come back from a 2-1 set deficit. Leadership has seemed to be missing on the court prior to today. Quote
