Goon has an article up on his blog about Marchand's latest incident.  Of course, it's about as slanted as CNN talking about Trump, but it is newsworthy.

Technically, it’s not up at the second. My blog is moving to a different server.

What, did you watch half of the video Mafia?  Marchand was just defending himself.  Guess we can't expect much more from a Redwings fan. ;)

If by "defending himself," you mean shoving a stick into the opposing player's face, sure.  Yes, the Flyer embellished it, but a straight-up cross check to a guy's mouth is definitely going to draw a fine.

And it's Red Wings, not Redwings.

It was a love tap and he barely touched him. Also, if this had been any other player, a two-minute minor and no fine would've sufficed. However, since you're a Bruin hating Red Wings fan, you can't see past your bias. (snickers) :) Oh, how are the Dead Things doing this season?

I actually don't hate the Bruins, Goon, but your defense of all things Boston goes a little overboard.  Marchand has developed a reputation much like Grayson Allen from Duke.  It didn't happen overnight but grew after each and every incident he "happened" to be in.  If Brad Marchand played for Pittsburgh, you'd be screaming for a 10 game suspension.

I'm a Bruin fan, and what scares me the most is that Marchand just doesn't get it.  How many times do you have to be suspended before you alter your behavior for the good of the team?  When it is this close to the playoffs and you are involved with risky behavior, it shows quite a bit of selfishness in my book.

The fact that he plays with an edge makes him dangerous, sure you're going to get some stupidity with Marchand. But I am sure many clubs would love to have him in their lineup. I think Joe Haggerty said it best with this tweet.

I had to google his name because I have no idea what who that is. I assume this is what you're talking about.
