Agreed, I was more speaking to the people who think conference games don't actually mean anything. I think they are important for a number of reasons.

Any reason why Jones needed to have Crandall dribble to other side of the floor out of a timeout, then call timeout again?  They had 20 secs left.  He can't draw up the same play from the other side of the floor? LOL

Right? Especially when the play consists of Geno trying to beat his guy one on one and everyone else crashing the net.

Better performance than the last 2 holiday tournaments where they got kicked to the curb by lesser opponents overall.  Still, can't help to wonder if they close those two out....

Nice to get a win out there.  Showed great resilience to come back from at least 16 down.  It is unfortunate it got to that point though.  They played terrible for 30 minutes, at a neutral site, in an empty building, against a capable but not overwhelming opponent.

The challenge against FU in their new building next week, will be a different environment than this one.

A pretty new D1 team, but they did make the tournament last year.
