WiSioux Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 A potential for critical injuries today... Jordy being #1. If that wasn't broken ribs I will be surprised. Was good to see Montgomery come back into the game. Quote

Was it decline in fans? Losing money in the SD market? Seems odd how a team has been there for decades, had many playoff appearances even a spot in the Super Bowl and now they are off to LA. I would think Jacksonville would move before SD. Quote

Chargers owner Spanos wanted the city of San Diego to raise the hotel occupancy tax to help pay for the new downtown stadium project projected at $1.8B. The SD voters rejected that ballot measure. Always easier to spend someone else's money................................................................. Quote
cberkas Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 It sounds like the Chargers will make $1 in the new Rams stadium. I hope Kroenke gouges the Charges owner for all his money. Quote

So Spanos didn't want to contribute more than 300 million dollars for a new stadium in San Diego but will pay a 550 million dollar relocation fee to the NFL. Shows that he really had no intentions of trying to keep the team in San Diego. Quote

Greedy owners know how to ruin a team/fan base. North Stars, Winnipeg Jets, Cleveland Browns just to name a few. Too bad fans can't fire owners. Quote
