hoops44 Posted November 21, 2015 Author Posted November 21, 2015 win was too dependent on lousy shooting by BG....good to see Adam step up and give Q a helping hand Quote
petey23 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Decent win. Rebounded better, still sloppy with the ball and had too many senseless turnovers and fouls while possessing the ball. Should be interesting game tomorrow against FGCU....my brother is down there for a wedding today and is going to the game tomorrow. FGCU is kind of his adopted school as he had season tickets when he lived down there and our company still does some work for the FGCU athletic department. Quote
FSSD Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 I like Avants. Hard nosed player. I wish Shanks played like he was 7 ft tall. I like his energy, but he was over powered a couple of times in the first half. I can't figure out why Cashman is not seeing more time. Quote
sioux24/7 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Might just be me but this team seems to have a higher basketball IQ compared to some past teams. I know everyone is going to say "they just ball" but that's just what I see. Quote
hoops44 Posted November 21, 2015 Author Posted November 21, 2015 Hail Hobaugh...barely saw the court vs wisky 7 rebounds today...we had only 2 starters in to finish game.. Quote
FSSD Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 (edited) Having shooters in the offense is going to help... McD and Crandell are big pieces this year. Edited November 21, 2015 by FSSD Quote
ArtVandalay Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Well, Shanks has been exposed as soft this half. Watch in the second half for them to bring it inside a lot.BG bigs finished with and 2 and 1. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 McDermott and Baldwin put UND 3pt shooting at nearly 48%. When is the last time we had better 3pt shooting, than 2pt?UND was 80% from the line, while BGSU was 40%. ln years past, those were reversed. Quote
Teeder11 Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 (edited) BG bigs finished with and 2 and 1. Thank goodness! What'd our bigs end up with? Edited November 22, 2015 by Teeder11 Quote
petey23 Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 It looks like scoring near the rim will continue to be a problem for us this season. Teams will guard us outside in again(like NDSU did last year). They will guard our guys downlow 1 on 1 and not double them so they are going to need to score through contact. Quote
niouxsiouxfan Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 (edited) This is a very promising young team. They play very smart, and look for each other, almost to a fault. There were a few easy baskets given up for an extra pass. These guys may be "just ballin," but their on court intelligence is showing. They are playing the game like it's supposed to be played. If teams want to single up the bigs and play straight across on the guards, I say, let them. I will take any three of Q, Geno, Seales, Baldwin, and McDermott in the backcourt against anyone right now. Edited November 22, 2015 by niouxsiouxfan dumb moment Quote
the green team Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 It took 3OT's for Florida Gulf Coast outlast Youngstown State tonight. Quote
