I'm thinking real good this season!! Why not the best in the Big Sky this year? Some of those Freshman are playing like vets now. Some help from the offense NO TO and give the Defense some rest and they are tough.

jjensen
I swear to God, if he ends up never playing due to injury that will make for a difference making linemen in consecutive classes never seeing the field. I think he might have had the injury over summer because I think we will see him back at practice soon.

Give it up. You guys will say anything to make us look bad including our opponents but at the same time will pump up DII teams and teams that are winless (WSU) to make you look NFL caliber. You guys even pumped up your 3 win season making it seem like those losses didn't count.

Matt
I'm not sure what to make of the defensive numbers. Ranking is near the top of the conference, but it is nearly 30pts per game. That is a lot of points to give up.

Maybe teams are not running much because they are having limited success on the ground but can get plenty of yards in the air.

Maybe teams are not running much because they are having limited success on the ground but can get plenty of yards in the air. Weber had too many rushing attempts to suggest that. The run d is stout, no matter how many times the opponent tries to run. It puts more stress on the secondary because it forces teams to pass. I'm almost more comfortable with a third and short than a third and long because it means they may try and run.

It's actually pretty amazing that even with a DE playing NG for much of the time, the run defense against Weber was still really good. Who do you see starting in the secondary next year? I would guess that Reyes will be one of the starting safeties, but is the other safety likely going to be somebody not on the current roster? I hope we can land a good transfer for that and one CB at least. Maybe Flowers can develop. Maybe we can recruit big snacks back from Iowa western.... Seriously we could use him and slide Hinojosa out to DE.

This is a passing league........ I guess the silver lining with some of the pass yardage is we can improve on ball skills and mental mistakes and that will go a long ways with the current guys we have.
