bincitysioux Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Let's not forget that ESPN is showcasing the nation's top FCS conference today, the Big Sky. #1 Eastern Washington kicks of its season today at 2:30 central on "The Mothership". 2 Quote
homer Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 EWU takes the early lead. Up 7-0 with 6:30 to go in the first Quote

I agree, Big Sky much better than than the MVFC and their obscure 2-game TV package that Patty cobbles together. Bison are in a crap conference. Its shame for a decent program. Missouri State making improvements getting ready to jump ship to the Sun Belt. Quote
bincitysioux Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 Could easily be 28-0. Same wideout for the Eags dropped two perfectly placed bombs and Adams badly overthrew a receiver in the end zone. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 That's one powerful smooth stride by the shsu qb. Quote
andtheHomeoftheSIOUX!! Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Sucks that the announcers and production are so terrible. Quote
Dagger Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 99 percent of what they talk about is FBS. It really tells you where FCS is on the map of college football. No one across the country other than the schools playing gives a crap about FCS. Quote

No one across the country other than the schools playing gives a crap about FCS. Yeah, that's true. I only care about UND and the BSC in the FCS. This new Power 5 is a threat to a big chunk of FBS too. It could all be about the Big 5 conferences. But, that's another discussion. Today, I'm pulling for the BSC. Go Eastern! Quote
MafiaMan Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Anyone else with sore retinas? That red field is awfully hard to watch on TV. Quote
IrishSiouxFan Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Their stadium capacity (12,000) is pretty embarrassing, even when they sell out. Quote
cberkas Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 So the starting quarterback for Eastern Washington plays most of the game with a illegal visor and now Sam Houston State wants to make a big deal out of it. Quote
MafiaMan Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Their stadium capacity (12,000) is pretty embarrassing, even when they sell out. Attendance is probably on-par with today's Hoover/Miami Central high school football game. Quote
bincitysioux Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 I'd love to have 12000 in the Alerus..... Quote
bincitysioux Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 Eastern looks pretty good as advertised. If anything they may be vulnerable to giving up yards on the ground. Quote
MafiaMan Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Take a friggin' knee, EWU, and have some class, coach. Quote
bincitysioux Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 Take a friggin' knee, EWU, and have some class, coach. It's not like they were throwin every down to try and run up the score. They handed off every snap and the running back broke for big yards just about every play. I wouldn't wanna take knee on the one foot line after busting my arse for the last 80 yards. I didn't think there was anything wrong with it. It is Sam Houston's job to stop them. Quote
Dagger Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Over the years NDSU was always notoriously known for never taking a knee. EWU was just running the ball. It they were passing the ball that is a different story. Quote

Up 2 TD's with 30some seconds left...how foolish do you look if the QB or RB is twisted around like a pretzel and breaks an ankle or tears an ACL because you wanted to punch in one more TD? Quote

Just as foolish as if a player gets hurt in practice I suppose. Quote
MafiaMan Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Just as foolish as if a player gets hurt in practice I suppose. Oh please. This board would be blowing up right now if EWU was actually North Dakota State University and punched in a late TD against UND to make a statement. Quote

That's because some on this board are far more concerned with seeing NDSU and UMTC fail than are seeing UND succeed. 1 Quote
