sioux rube Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 B10 Hockey. We're better than you. Big 10 hockey messed up everything. Screw em. Quote
cberkas Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Minnesota gave up a TON of shots last weekend against Bemidji State...is that the case again tonight? Shots are 42-27 St. Cloud. It could have been 4-0 if not for some lazy passing by St. Cloud. Edit: looks like they changed the shots 30-20 St. Cloud. Quote
cberkas Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Duluth announcers claiming the Miami player embellished when he was hit from behind. Then they said it should have been a 2 minute cross check and not a 5 minute major. If a player gets hit from behind along the boards it should most likely be a 5 minute. Quote

Penalties should have no relevance to whether or not the player was injured. They should be assessed based on the rules and the potential to cause serious injury. Quote

Wilcox with the dumbest penalty. St. Cloud leads Minnesota 4-0 Miami leads Duluth 3-2 Quote

From what I saw, it was not even a 2 minute penalty. I would have called the Miami player for embellishment. Quote
farce poobah Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 I'm enjoying the St Cloud State score a bit more than I should. UND has to go there in a couple weeks. Quote

Siouxman Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Unless Minnesota pulls out a tremendous comeback, the B1G goes 1-3-1 tonight with Penn St. getting the only victory. Quote
choyt3 Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Huskies even pull out the traditional circle of sticks after defeating the mighty Gophers. Mark Parrish seems like maybe he took a page from the Wooger's broadcasting tips and had a couple pulls to take the edge off. Quote

Siouxman Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 UND is 15th, UND was 18 or 19 after Providence. So.....you're saying people should be looking to sell their west regional tickets now since UND is ranked so low in the pairwise, right? Quote

Pretty sure you are joking, but so other people aren't confused, pairwise doesn't mean anything until January. Quote
brianvf Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 BC leading DU 2-1 in the 3rd. I like that SCSU score...B10 goes down. Quote

southpaw Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Pretty sure you are joking, but so other people aren't confused, pairwise doesn't mean anything until January. Pairwise literally means nothing until late March. It's designed to fluctuate until the final weekend. A team can go from 16 to 1 from January to March... Not because they moved up but because the Pairwise formula was finally complete. Quote

It's not final until late March but that doesn't mean it's useless. Jim Dahl gives calculations on where UND will end up depending on the amount of wins starting January and is usually spot on. I find that useful. Quote
