darell1976 Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 USD was picked fourth in preseason for the Slummit. Tulane was picked 3rd, behind SMU and UCF, in the American. UND can move up several slot in RPI if the sweep the rest of the matches. Is there a link for volleyball RPI's? Quote
Siouxperman8 Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 USD 26-24 in first. We led most of game but kicked it away at end Quote
Dustin Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 2 close sets - 26-24 USD, then 25-21 UND. Good crowd on hand for this one. Quote
Siouxperman8 Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 We won game 2 25-21. Lost 20-17 lead in game 1 and were up 20-17 in game 2 but they tied at 21 before we ran last 4. Quote
cpa_guy Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Is there a link for volleyball RPI's? The NCAA doesn't update until later in the year. You can sort this link by the volleyball column to get Massey's ranking. Although Massey updates regularly, I'm not sure how up to date this is. http://masseyratings.com/college.php Quote

Dustin Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 Thrilling game 4 with a 30-28 UND win! Work is not over yet, though. Quote
Siouxperman8 Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Big comeback from down 24-22 to win game four 30-28. On to game 5 Quote
mizzou/sioux Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Way to rally from a deficit to win, Sioux ladies. Great job. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Young team digs self out of early hole, goes on to win. I wonder if Bubba's guys are paying attention. 1 Quote
darell1976 Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Great win Ladies!!! Hopefully they can get the weekend sweep tomorrow. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 UND beats Tulane again, 3-0. UND is tougher to hit against because of the middle hitter 6'3 Faith Dooley is such a threat to block shots. She's a type of player with height that alters the game that UND hasn't had before. USD has a 6'4 middle too, so they are a difficult adjustment to face. Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Was at the game. Dooley was a great get for UND. We also got the most probable ND player in Shanley's Frasse for next year. Gonna watch SD at 3 then off to the football game. Quote
Dustin Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 Tied at 1 set a piece. Both scores were 25-22, I believe. Quote
Dustin Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 Another close set - 25-23 UND for 2-1 lead. One thing is for sure, these teams are even. Quote
mizzou/sioux Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Another close set - 25-23 UND for 2-1 lead. One thing is for sure, these teams are even. Certainly looks like a pair of evenly matched teams to me. Quote
teamsioux Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Anyone know if Emily Thompson is hurt? She has barely touched the court since that first match of the season against Auburn. Quote
the green team Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Honestly, Moser moves too well to displace her. Dooley us just high end raw talent, and on the right the new freshman from Canada hits at a pretty good clip. I saw Thompson play briefly on Friday... I just don't see her being part of the rotation right now, but maybe I'm wrong. It seems that Coach Prior has got a core group that he feels he can really rely on right now, and the results seem to really support that it's working. Quote
Smoggy Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 What happened to Tulane? They only lost 4 times last year (once to us), but they for the most part looked lost and seemed to be still playing some upper classwomen. Surprised that we are playing so many freshman. Very good sign of things to come. Has the setter from Marshal gotten any time? Quote
SiouxVolley Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 http://www.masseyratings.com/game.php?gid=529026056 Massey has us as underdogs for four remaining games: Iowa (at Brookings) Pacific (at Starkville) at Idaho St at Idaho Quote
