Good riddance.

They did about as well as I thought results-wise. They really struggled down the homestretch of the regular season... except for game 2 their offense struggled scoring only a single goal in each of their losses. Interesting that all four of the Ranger wins were by a 2-1 score.

Makes me wonder if they have enough offense to go very far...guess we'll see.

All five games in this series could have very easily gone either way, and in the four games the Rangers won they did it in the only way that they were capable of beating the Penguins (by holding them to fewer than two goals, because there was no way in hell they were going to do much scoring on Fleury). Like I said before, all the Penguins have to do to beat the Rangers is score more than one goal. Unfortunately they were unable to do that in four out of five games in this series. Of small consolation to me is the fact that everybody who thought it was a mistake for the Pens to sign Fleury to a contract extension now looks incredibly stupid. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather have been wrong about Fleury and have the Pens win every game 8-7. But I do like being right, especially when the masses disagreed with me. Never before in my life have a seen such an amazing performance out of a goaltender in a series in which his team lost 4 games to 1. If the Pens' offense was even half as good as their goaltending this series would not be over right now (or maybe it would be over with the opposite result). Definitely going to need to address the offense for next year and beyond but I feel very good about the goaltending for many years to come. Congratulations to the Rangers, they worked very hard for this victory and very much deserve it.

Leo Tolstoy called inquiring about this interesting new technology.

Great to see Dubnyk bounce back tonight and play really well. He really kept the Wild in the game when they weren't very good for the first about period and a half. Hope the Wild can come out and play well right from the opening faceoff and close out the Blues Sunday.

So someone SERIOUSLY asked Gary Bettman about the "sexist" Kathy Perry chant that Winnipeg fans serenaded Corey Perry with the other night?  And some folks actually have their undies in a bundle over it?

Well it must have bothered someone because you got negative repped for mentioning it.

Did Schloss send you that? ;)

Dubs was terrific last night especially coming off his worst game with the Wild in game 4. Very impressive.

Got tickets for game 6 tomorrow. Figured if my 14 year old daughter wants to hang out with her dad I better take advantage of it as I'm sure days like tomorrow are numbered as she gets older.

Go Wild!

Go Dubs!
