We lost out top 3 wrs from last year and have to replace most of the defensive backfield. We also graduated a lot of lbs. What players are everyone looking forward to seeing most and who does everyone think will step up?

I can't wait to see our running game get back to its old self.

I'm completely on board for this. Get the hogs working up front and pound the football down their throats. I'm anxious to see what Rudolph does as offensive coordinator.

The guys I'm most anxious to see this spring are Will Ratelle, Aeron Carr, Kyle Norberg, Shae Walker, Javen Butler, Cole Reyes and Patrick Sharp. Also curious to see some of the RFr. linemen and some of the younger linebackers like Brian Labat and Taj Rich. Even though it's going to be a pretty big rebuilding year, I think we're going to see some promising performers this spring to give us some hope for the future.

I'm just looking forward to watching the new systems in practice. That will be the first refreshing change. However, the last few years have broken me about drawing conclusions from what I'm seeing in spring ball. I've been excited and optimistic before. Until I see a UND running game that Big Sky defenses must respect, and a UND defense that Big Sky offenses don't tear apart, it is difficult to get too fired up about what I'm seeing vs the same colored jersey.

I can't wait for the season to start to know where the program is truly at.

People need to realize that its going to get worse before it gets better. They are starting from scratch with this roster. There is zero depth along the offensive line and when you want to get back to running the ball, that is not a good thing. I am afraid they are going to have to take their lumps next year, kind of like USD did in Glenn's first year, and just get the scheme's installed and slowly work in players that can actually run them effectively.

We have had worse since Muss took over, its time for some better and it has when Bubba was hired. I think Bubba will do more with less than Muss did with more. (if that makes sense)

I am excited to see RJ McGill back and also what Casey Young can do.

RJ is gonna be a man on a mission after having to sit and watch last year. We really missed his reliability last year, he's an automatic first down on most plays.

I honestly don't agree. When we decided to run the ball, like in 2012 vs. Sacramento State, we could run the ball. It's a matter of will and intention when it comes to running the ball. We'll end up with good offensive linemen - it's a product of recruiting Minnesota and Wisconsin. And our throw the ball all-the-time mindset caused horrible turnover ratios. I think we'll see improvements in turnover ratio, penalties, and defense next season because that can only get better, and as a result, I think we'll do better than last year and win more than 3 games. I've been optimistic before, but I think because last year was so bad, the only direction to go is now up. I say anywhere from 4 to 6 wins next season. Year 2 of the Bubba era is the year to get excited about.

This had better not be the case. I would think new coach, new system, new attitude. We need to improve. Geeze, so, it's OK to keep going down hill for another year? I don't think so. We need to see some uptick in this program and anything less then 6 wins isn't showing enough. Sorry, but the tail dragging has to stop.

I think UND should be able to win at least half of the OOC games (RMU, SB) hell I heard MSU is down if they go 3-1 before conference play I will be happy, they go 1-3 or 0-4 and it's another long season. UND has played the last few FBS games close (SDSU, NIU, FSU) with Muss as coach, could Bubba get UND their first FBS win? That would generate confidence, excitement and signs Bubba knows what direction to take this team.

I would like to see one of these young Tight Ends step up and contribute in the passing game as a receiver.

Is the prospectus correct that TE A.J. Stockwell is 6'6" and 290 pounds? That is a big TE.

Despite the defections of Golladay and Jackson, and the graduation of Hardin, I'm not as worried about the wide receiving corps as one might think. There was a lot of depth there already, especially when you figure McGill coming back, and Ivery moving back to offense. Throw in the young kid Carr and also Casey Young who I think just unfortunately got buried in the depth chart because of the ridiculous amount of talent there the last couple years. I'll bet he'll be right there with McGill as our most productive receiver.

Defensively, the biggest thing I want to see if we can get into the backfield and harass the QB. That area has been severely lacking basically since 2007.

I totally agree about the depth at receiver. From what I hear about the coaching staff, the receivers better be good blockers. The previous coaching staff coddled some of the receivers. I think those days are gone. If you don't block as a receiver, you won't be on the field. You've got four really small receivers with McGill, Ivery, Bridges, and Carr. That's why I like Young. He's a bigger more physical kid who fits into this offense well. I am also excited to actually see a tight end be involved in the offense. Schleusner may as well have just given the tight ends jerseys with a #60 or #70 because they just blocked.

If they do beat Wyoming, it won't count as an FBS win. I hear you should be able to blow out any FBS team that is going through a coaching change and lost their quarterback and most of their other starters. If they don't beat Wyoming by 20 if should be considered a disappointment.

I think we play San Jose State next year, Wyoming is the year after that.

San Jose just lost a quarterback to the NFL draft. That also qualifies as an FBS game that should be an easy win.
