MafiaMan Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 NDSU gets a #12 spot and Oklahoma gets the #5...Digger Phelps has already called 'upset alert'. How about the Wichita State/Michigan/Duke/Louisville region of death? Sheesh. Any surprises? What are your picks? Who's gonna take home the title? Quote

SWSiouxMN Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 SMU got the shaft, they should have been in. NC State shouldn't have gotten a bid. Wichita State got shafted big time, they have to run through Kentucky, Louisville, Duke, Michigan, Saint Louis just to get to the final 4. Bison have a good shot of knocking off Oklahoma. Quote

That seems to be a popular sentiment, and I understand it to an extent given the history of 12's vs. 5's, but NDSU hasn't beaten anybody with an RPI of higher than 67 this year, and OU is at 25, so it's going to probably take their best game, plus an off game by the Sooners. 1 Quote
homer Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 FU won't be outsized as Oklahoma only plays about 3 forwards they will roll 5 guards that are pretty good so Braugn will have to defend as well as score. All in all it's a good matchup. Bjorkland could have a good day and as usual will be key to FUs chances Quote
MafiaMan Posted March 17, 2014 Author Posted March 17, 2014 Michigan State looked unstoppable today...so cue them losing in the first round. Quote

MafiaMan Posted March 17, 2014 Author Posted March 17, 2014 OU wins by double digits. That's pretty big talk! Quote
Blackheart Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 That's pretty big talk! This is basketball, right? Quote
Oxbow6 Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Louisville a #4 seed? Seriously!?!? The Shockers got bent over with their bracket. NDSU will stay within 10...for a half...then it gets ugly. Aztecs... sleeper alert! Virginia is as weak of #1 seed there has been in awhile. Sparty is the sexy pick but I like Arizona to cut the nets down. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 I hate the fact that Gus Johnson and Bill Raftery doesn't call NCAA games anymore. Whenever those two called games, you know something crazy was going to happen. Quote
UNDBIZ Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Colorado (#8) with an ugly beat-down at the hands of Pitt (#9) Quote
Oxbow6 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Western Michigan getting throttled by the 'Cuse. Foreshadowing for their hockey team tomorrow?? Quote
Ray77 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Bye bye Buckeyes! That loss cost me $1B in Warren Buffett's bracket challenge! First game of the tourney!!! Quote
MafiaMan Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 Colorado (#8) with an ugly beat-down at the hands of Pitt (#9) Right! Good grief...thanks for comin' out, Buffs! Quote
MafiaMan Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 Harvard up 6 on Cincy with 12:00 to play... Quote
Siouxperfan7 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I hate the fact that Gus Johnson and Bill Raftery doesn't call NCAA games anymore. Whenever those two called games, you know something crazy was going to happen. Xavier v. K-State in the Swee 16 was one of the best tournament games of all time. And the reason for that (besides being a great game played on the court) was that Gus Johnson called the game. He was great!! Every shot that went in he made a huge shot. "Got it"!!!! Quote
UNDBIZ Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Smart kids (does that still apply in bouncyball?) beat Cincy. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Smart kids (does that still apply in bouncyball?) beat Cincy. Yup, always pick the smart kids. Still upset that OSU didn't pull that game out against Dayton. Stupid Craft Quote
UNDBIZ Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 #16 Albany's uniforms are hard to look at, but they're beating #1 Florida by 3 with just under 9 minutes left in the 1st half. Quote
darell1976 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I see OSU plays BB like they do Hockey They play hockey. Quote
Shawn-O Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 That loss cost me $1B in Warren Buffett's bracket challenge! First game of the tourney!!! Anyone else see the $1B challenge and wish they had the DeLorean and Biff's Sport's Almanac? 2 Quote
MafiaMan Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 Would like to pat myself on the back for picking Harvard...but that was off-set by picking Colorado. Quote
