Siouxperfan7 Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Pretty good storylines in the A Final. EGF going for their first title ever against Hermantown who has been runner up the last 4 years. Should be a pretty good game! 1 Quote

SiouxScore Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Eden Prairie 3 Lakeville North 2 after 1 at the soldout X. The UNO commit Spinner has been impressive for EP tonight after really not doing much yesterday. He looks like a pure goal scorer and can really shoot the puck and already has 2 goals on the very good freshman goalie Oettinger. Didn't really expect this one to be the shootout it has been so far but there really haven't been any weak goals and there has been some good back and forth action. Quote
Wilbur Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Jeez, some of these kids can shoot the puck. Wow. Nothing these goalies can do about some of these. Quote
SiouxScore Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Eden Prairie and Lakeville North will head to overtime tied at 4 great game so far. Quote
SiouxScore Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Nick Poehling gets the winner to give Lakeville North a 5-4 win on the powerplay in the 2nd OT. Each team had a slashing penalty in the 2nd OT and I thought they were both kind of weak for an OT. Poehling gets to experience the moment every Minnesota kid dreams of growing up. Quote
Wilbur Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 One Cake eater down.....another to go. Eagan over Edina. You heard it here first! Quote
SiouxScore Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Edina leads Eagan 1-0 after 1. Edina's goal came from Malmquist on a real nice effort by him and chance that he was robbed by Lindgren but unfortunately for Eagan their d-man knocked the puck in while trying to clear it. Pretty good back and forth physical game so far with Eagan coming very close to tying it up hitting 2 posts. Quote
crb1 Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Are any of these games televised on midco? I can't believe viewing these games has been so difficult this year. Quote
Wilbur Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Are any of these games televised on midco? I can't believe viewing these games has been so difficult this year. 322 on Midco. One of the best saves I've seen in high school hockey by the Eagan goaltender.....goodness.... Still 1-0 Every Dick In North America.... Quote
Wilbur Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Okay....Edina beats Eagan 3-1. Which sets up tomorrow's TV schedule: Hermantown vs. EGF at noon. Edina vs. Lakeville at 7. And of course UND vs. Western Michigan at 7:07 Quote
SiouxScore Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 EGF and Hermantown coming up shortly. Should be a very physical game and I would think real good scoring opportunities will be at a premium but if EGF plays to their capabilities I like their chances. Quote
Wilbur Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I agree. East Grand is the better team here. Low scoring game in the works I think. EGF winning 3-1 is the call. Tonight I'm thinking Edina gets it done. My heart hopes for Lakeville to get it done, but my head says Edina. Quote

bigskyvikes Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 On TV (EGF game) you can hear someone whistling whoit whoit whoit. I hear him at the Sioux games every night also... Quote
Wilbur Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 EGF trying to see if they can win the game short handed.....bold strategy Cotton lets see if it works for them. Quote
MafiaMan Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 No disrespect intended to either of these teams, but if you have the guts to play the Blaines, Moorheads, Roseaus, and Duluth Easts of the world during the season, why are you still playing A hockey when it comes to playoff time? The sectional scores of these two teams (outside of EGF's OT win over Warroad) were pretty ridiculous. Quote
SiouxScore Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Hermantown 1-0 after 1. EGF had 4 penalties to Hermantowns 1 and apparently the refs think everyone is there to watch them. Hope they realize this is a state championship and let these teams play instead of making weak call after weak call. Quote
choyt3 Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 The EGF game is on Midco channel 322 I'm stuck in small town ND with no HD. Is it on SD channel, too? Quote
