UNDBIZ Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Hopefully they got a nice little confidence boost. This is a long road trip so it's good to start it off with a solid win. Quote
sioux24/7 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 My thoughts exactly... Since the game was in control I really don't have an opinion either way. It was a really nice play and i'm not going to be hard on them for having fun. Good points. On another note, Nash's dunk through traffic was beautiful. 1 Quote
FSSD Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Watching PSU game with UNC.. PSU rolls with 4 smalls and 1 big. Saturday's game could be run and gun.. Quote
FSSD Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 NOTE: During tonight's game I thought the pick and roll was available several times and no passes down low. Its like they aren't really looking for it. Quote
NYSioux Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Hopefully PSU can get all these threes out of their system tonight. Quote
FSSD Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Hopefully PSU can get all these threes out of their system tonight. Exactly, they are still rolling over UNC at will.. up by 27 with 8 min left in the game. Quote
UNDsportsFANATIC Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Pleased with everyone's effort, especially Traylor. He is starting to look better day in/day out. I think we are finally clicking. Perfect timing at that! Quote
UND-FB-FAN Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Good game and effort. Let's keep it going! Go Sioux! Quote
UND-FB-FAN Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 When else would you throw one off the backboard? Ha good point Quote
sioux2013 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 No doubt a great road win and once again they played within themselves and moved the ball very well. It's amazing what this team can accomplish and look like when they play together. Quote
darell1976 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Portland State beat UNC, so UND is just a game out of second place. WSU 8-1 UNC 7-2 UND 6-3 PSU 5-4 NAU 5-4 Quote
Siouxperfan7 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 How big is hte March 4th game against No. Colorado gonna be?! Huge in relation to Big Sky standings. Oh yeah, and its Senior Day and the last game of the year. Circle this one on the calander. Quote
jdub27 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Didn't get to watch all of the game, but sure seems like Traylor is really coming into his own and providing productive and quality minutes the last couple weeks. Haven't been able to tell, but is he still wearing a shoulder harness/brace or is that gone and maybe part of the reason he was struggling earlier in the year? Quote

Agree that will be a huge game however since the last home game is on a Tuesday they have moved the official "Senior Day" to Saturday March 1st so hopefully there will be more in attendance and easier for the families of the seniors to attend for the weekend versus on a Tuesday. UND's last home game is March 1st against EWU, UND is AT UNC on March 4th and the last game of the year is March 6th at SUU. February 6th is the game UND needs to win...at Weber State. Lets show them we can beat the best in the BSC on their home court. Quote

SWSiouxMN Posted January 31, 2014 Author Posted January 31, 2014 Have been very impressed by how this team has seemed to turn things around. I agree that Traylor has gotten better and is now giving us a legit post player to work with. Jamal Webb might be playing the best point of his career right now (and is starting to hit that outside shot too). Hooker just gets better and better as a guard (saw him make some passes last night I don't think he would have tried a few weeks ago). Anderson is coming back into his junior year form, Huff is playing controlled for the most part, Nash has adjusted well to playing off the bench and is provided big time minutes and points, Stefan is getting to be more and more of a do everything type guy (his pass last night to Nash was a thing of beauty) Now we just got to get Schuler red hot (he hasn't looked the greatest on the offensive end these last two games). Jones said that these next two week would be moving time in the conference, UND is given a golden opportunity to get back in the Big Sky conference race and gain some separation from the rest of the pack hopefully. PSU will be a tough one, but I think we match up pretty well and can pull one out. Quote

Schuler does need to get it going cause he is so important to UND on both ends of the floor. Seems his shot has been way off since he separated his shoulder so not sure if that is still an issue with him. Hopefully his shot comes back to him soon. Quote
