scpa0305
All in all the boys have looked really good. Brittains playing awesome and they have had some help from the refs. Also, und has taken some bad penalties ( ausmus is the only one I remember).
Wilbur
Crossbar for Parks.....puck luck not there tonight.
keikla
Hot Goalie To be fair, Brittain was the NCHC Goalie of the Week this past week, so it's not like he was playing crappy and it's only our shortcomings that are making him look good. He legitimately has been playing great lately.
Wilbur
This is what I was worried about with Brittain. UND has had success against the guy but he can be a game stealer. Plenty of time. Get one fellas.

keikla
Ha. Hak with a Blais move, pulling Saunders with just under 6min left to get a 5x4.
808287
Penalty parade...Rodwell, Pattyn both heading to the box. DU puts 2 in as well. 5 on 4 resulting.
scpa0305
Well all good things come to an end however the boys didn't lay down....I thought they played well tonight. Brittain was an absolute beast.
Wilbur
Pattyn has to fight someone before his time is up.
808287
You don't win many games when you score no goals. I can't count the number of times T.H. said "...but he shot it wide!" tonight. Really need to hit those open nets. Two weeks of shooting drills please! Let's get focused on Omaha...need another circle of sticks!
Wilbur
Good run while it lasted. Weekend off to heal some bumps and bruises then four absolutely huge games in a row at home.

Wilbur
Like the way the team is playing. Hope we see the same team in two weeks.
SiouxFanatic
Frustrating loss. I thought UND still looked better than DU. Offense couldn't bury one and Brittain decided to play strong in net for Denver. PP unit has got to convert more. Here I was hoping gfhockey would pull the whole "reverse psychology" line with a UND win. Hah.
brianvf
Cue gfhockey. Might have to wait a couple weeks for that...

Und did look better than DU both night....I wouldn't worry too much about facing them in the playoffs ( at least not compared to scsu and Miami for that matter). Brittain is one hell of a goalie and had one of his best nights on paper I'm guessing. I think that first line of ours has to become more productive and ausmus has to sit in favor of Thompson until he realizes when it is ok for him to take a dumb penalty and when it is not. I thought Saunders looked fine and hopefully the team is comfortable with him back there until gothberg is healthy again.

siouxfaninseattle
Johnson took two penalties tonite. Someone needs to have a conversation with him about playing smart.
Godsmack
Went to the game again tonight and my girlfriend said, "why do all of UND's shots seem to hit the Frontier Airlines ad to the right of the net?"
Carl
Always disappointing to get shutout, but I'll take a road split against a good team any day. Brittain was outstanding tonight. My big observation for the series is that Du's zamboni drivers are terrible. They kept missing spots and before the third, there was a chunk of ice sitting in the middle of the ice near the blue line and at least two strips where they missed. When the guy came to put the net back on he was spraying the missed spots with a water bottle. Makes me appreciate the Ralph's ice crew.
